Next or next year. And hell even if one or both lose before it happens it'll still happen cuz it'll still be a big fight just not as big.
It would lose a chit load of money if one or both have a loss.
The time to strike is next fight for both guys.
That's if AJ gets past Ruiz.
What do us lammen people know though.

There is money in that fight and there will never be that many heavyweights that really bring that much to the table. Even if things go awry for Wilder or Joshua for that matter there will still be more money than average in that fight due to history.

Same with a Fury rematch for Wilder or a Fury fight with Joshua in the UK.

Right now they are playing around and trying to max out, but honestly it is about as ripe as it is going to get. I think them fighting anyone else would be a mistake, I get fronting and saying I have an option to fall back on is good plus it keeps Ortiz name out there on a high level is wise but really there is no reason to do that rematch now unless they are forced into it.

Nah it'll just be worth less money.

Kinda like Tyson vs Holyfield was. If Tyson vs Holyfield had happened when they were both undefeated in 1990 as planned it woulda been bigger for boxing & for money to each guy, but the fight was still among the biggest fights of that era when it happened several years later after both had L's.

I don't see why this fight would be different. Sure maybe its not as big as Tyson vs Holyfield, but few fights are.

I'm just thinking the time to maximize the biggest purse is now.
I know the fight would be still huge but surely the time to strike is now especially if AJ puts on a highlight reel K/O.
I can't see it getting bigger without one losing to another in between.
I guess if both guys keep winning it can only keep going up and up I suppose.
Heavyweight is very fragile though as your well aware off.

Sure its max now or soon (I'd lean more towards soon over now although I do wanna gauge the Ruiz outcome + known numbers + general vibe), but what I'm saying is its not going to dry up if one or both lose. There will be value in this fight even if a apple cart gets upset like with Tyson vs Holyfield.

Definitely a fickle division & a fickle sport in general.

He said AJ fight will happen, never said it will happen next or even this year.

My opinion, team Wilder has prepared a medium-term strategy for Wilder...earn money from good fights and raise his profile while keeping the AJ fight long enough for AJ and Eddie to come to 50-50 on PPV, not DAZN. Wilder will be fighting Ortiz, Kownacki and Fury before AJ.

AJ fight is coming but not before end 2020 or early 2021.

So Wilder said he would fight AJ. Not next, Not this year, Maybe not next year but he said he will fight him. WOW. And everybody is fine with that now?

Why wait? Make the date, Tit.
