Comments Thread For: Dillian Whyte: No Surprise if Breazeale Beats Deontay Wilder

Heavyweight contender Dillian Whyte will not be shocked if there is a big upset in his division on Saturday night. WBC champion Deontay Wilder, the longest reigning beltholder in the weight class, will be facing mandatory challenger Dominic Breazeale.

I pretty much see it the same as Whyte.

I think Wilder will land far more. If Breazeale can take his shots then Wilder can be hit - and Breazeale can ****.

Could be like the Duhaupus fight with a bigger puncher.

I pondered this thought as well but then i watched the head to heads they've had. I think as much as Breazeale won't admit, i thinks h'es intimidated of Wilder

Breazeale can take a punch but three clean hard successive punches will drop him. Izu Ugonoh and AJ were successful with that.

Breazeale can punch too but his defence is not too good.

If he decides to block Wilder's punches with his face, then I see him being stopped within six rounds.

I know anything can happen in HW boxing, but it would be a miracle if this happens. For the good of boxing I hope Wilder loses with no rematch being forced on Breazeale. Just because I think when you remove Wilder from the equation then boxing would get the undisputed fight.

Having said that, why are people picking Breazeale? 3 fights in three years, 22 rounds done in all that time. That was since he lost to Joshua. His stopped those three opponents but that paper covered all the cracks in his game. He is too flat footed to trouble Wilder.

He’s slow one dimensional no defense no head movement plus Im pretty sure wilder is in his head. This thing is going to get ugly fast.

Hunter can’t help him .Breazeale looks like one of those over hyped big white guys that that pop up every decade. He won’t make it out of the first.

The problem is how many of those shots can Breazeale take? If any of the shots land from the 7th round its goodbye for Breazeale. Conversely, the same thing can be said of Wilder

Breazeale didn't seem in the best of shape at the weigh in. I expected a more athletic looking fighter after being trained by virgil but he still seems fat and saggy like against AJ. Think Deontay destroys him within 3 rounds although would have been nice if Breazeale had worked harder physically for this fight. If he doesn't move 10 x better than in the past he has no chance. He need to be slippery like Fury was but I just don't see it.
