That was an excellent article. Couldn't agree more with every practical thing written there. "Wilder isn't a particularly good boxer but he's good enough." He's exciting to watch for the division. And he's skilled & fast enough to set up his punches to land on any elite heavyweight.
His flaws and attitude are a draw for all his detractors, because they'll tune in to watch him lose (like the Mayweather haters), preferably right after he gets wobbled and does a dance on those Bambi legs of his. But for those who believe that the dedicated hard work will get you better each fight(?) regardless of his late start in the game - will tend to focus on his progression and his ability to adapt.
His "catch a body" talk is DUMB, but even the newest fan to boxing will come to realize its for shock effect to draw attention to his concussive speciality....but for those outside of boxing catching wind of his remarks won't understand....that'll be the more foolish irresponsible drag on his rep he's earned. But as far as the skillfull aspect? He's undeniably growing and maintaining thru "hard work & dedication" regardless what emotional haters say....
