Oh boy, I hadn't actually considered this. ****, my initial reaction was, not that much would probably change after being headline news for a week or 2. But the more I think about it and the general shift towards safety in American sports, I think it may honestly be the end of boxing in the US if that happens. Certainly the worst case scenario for the sport and I bet all the powers in boxing would come together to try to shift all the negative press directly on Wilder to save their own tails. I honestly believe you would see a huge push from the general public to have the sport banned in this country if that happened.

      None.

Wilder becomes the second coming of Mike Tyson and boxing does it’s biggest ratings of all time in his next fight.

Would be a segment on ESPN. Then the sports world goes back to caring about the NBA playoffs. Some may be overestimating how relevant boxing and the athletes involved are.

Plenty of people have died in the ring. The question is how would it effect Wilder? I dont think he as sadistic as a Sergey. Wudnt be suprised if it fcked him up mentally. Wilder at heart is a good guy.

Oh, gawd. I can only imagine how ^that would get spliced in with clips of the punches that ended Breazeale's life.

While I don't think there's much of a chance of any of this happening, it's interesting to speculate the fallout of something like this because there's always the possibility.

it would be very bad for the sport, especially in the age we live in and everybody is as sensitive as they are, it could have major consequences
