❌ Told by the IBF that their decision to order Canelo Alvarez vs Sergiy Derevyanchenko yesterday was an "ERROR" - they sent the letter too soon. Canelo is unified, so mandatories are rotated and the IBF aren't next in line. He can also request an exception when it is called.

So they just forgot that Canelo the biggest star in boxing was already a world champ despite all the hype and promotion about him unifying all his belts with Jacobs belt? I find that impossible. They sent that letter making demands and it made waves and they were getting trashed by fans and media for trying to rob boxing of a change of a undisputed Middleweight champ. So they tuck their taik between their legs and said my bad just forget about that letter and everything in it. lol

Or they are completely incompetent really didn't know that little fella named canelo had all those belts or the rules stating that all the belt orgs argee to follow a order in who gets the next mandatory and WBA and WBC are both ahead of the line in front of IBF. This is way more likely not only Canelo was going to trash it but fans were pi ssed, IBF old corruption scandals were being brought back up and mentioned, media was taking them to town. Just too much bad press and attention.
