Im no Wilder fan, but the man should be able to say what he wants. On that note no punishment can be compared to the loss he's about to take which is enough punishment.

People wonder what happened to boxing. Welp, judging by the comments on this thread, the fans have gone soft and are more interested in getting behind the next great thing or their countryman than they are the actual fighting. Pitiful.Comment

Y'all are missing the real story:
The WBC have ethics now!WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman said the comments were "regrettable" and against the organisation's ethics.

I agree with you. I am no pacifist but I believe there should be sense of honor and respect among soldiers and fighters, including combat sports participants. This is why there is outrage when perverted things such as cannibalism happen in war. There should also be outrage when Wilder says the sort of things he’s saying, and he shouldn’t just get another free pass from Papa Suleiman. Of course, this is not a perfect world, but I do think Wilder (and Tyson for that matter) have repeatedly gone to far. From what I’ve heard, Mike Tyson has some very real mental health problems, and I am beginning to believe Wilder may have some undiagnosed problems or something with the way he carries on...Boxing and MMA are violent sports but even in the military we have the Law of Armed Conflict to regulate us from simply "wanting to kill"...Mike Tyson said he wanted to drive the nose bone into the brain with his punches so I understand metaphor & hyperbole but this seems to cross the line of sport. I think a BIG fine is in order for this repeat offense...then strip if the ethical code of the figher is violated again...then loss of boxing license.Last edited by Legends456; 05-16-2019, 02:57 PM.Comment

I agree with you. But watch what happens, I would be willing to bet that’s Suleiman will “have a talk” with Wilder and say he didn’t mean nothing by it; it was just a figure of speech, etc etc...
Nothing’s gonna come of this.Comment
