Poll:I just realized that Callum Smith isn't a bridge too far 4 Nelo

Dont forget to leave a comment explaining your vote if possible.

Anyways I was watching callum smith vs groves again & I realized that I think Canelo not only beats him but I think he kos him the same exact way he did liam. I was on record on numerous occasions saying that I thought it was imbecilic for canelos team to even be contemplating something so ****** as facing smith but after reviewing tape on both I realized that smith is tailor made for canelo because hes too timid & doesn't look like hed be sharp enough or strong enough in the body to handle canelo. His offense is rubbish imho considering how big he is. I just think canelo is all wrong for him & would counter potshot him ****** to a UD or even ko to the gut. I normally never make outrageous predictions but I've now changed my mind & I think canelo should face him asap especially if he doesn't face andrade. What y'all think?
Forgot to mention also that Canelo used to spar with zurdo/Kovalev since very early age also.

It will be pointless because nelo have a ridiculous weight clause and smith will come into the ring practically starved to death

I see Canelo using the same tactics that he used against Rocky, if he were to fight Callum.

Callum is a very tall man, so there is alot of body area for Canelo to target.

I think it is a very hard nights work for Canelo, as Callum is a very good boxer, but I think he gets a late TKO or the decision.

I'd love to see this fight in September

A fighter who has an enormous height/reach & size advantage being forced to only gain 10 lbs in the 14 hrs between weigh ins,is the farthest thing from what your talking about. Especially if like Jacobs Hearn just pays the fine for them to blow it off. They still are able to gain as much as they want for the 16 hrs after weigh in,so it has no relation to reality to say hed be starving, especially considering he already had to make 168 every single fight without starving & if he was IBF champ hed be doing that anyways every single fight like jacobs was pre canelo.

I think Canelo causes problems early fighting short, utilising his head movement and with his handspeed before Smith takes full control by midpoint. Smith is way too big, strong and fundamentally sound. This guy must legitimately walk around at 200lbs standing about 6ft3, he is an absolute giant SMW. I have no idea how he still makes the weight without it hampering him.

I don't think Canelo has the tank. He gasses after 4-5 good rounds in every fight. As good as his head movement often is its exhausting and he expands way too much energy looking to land the perfect homerun.

I think he probably looks good for 4-5 rounds then Smith batters him all around the ring. Smith has gears Canelo doesn't.
Smith won't abandon the body like GGG did.

I also worry about Canelo's knees. Hasn't he already had surgery on both?

I like Canelo more than Smith and think he's P4P or whatever the better fighter but he has his limits, this would be a step too far.

A Smith Camp against Canelo will be debilitating since the diuretics used in the UK will be non existent in Canelo’s VADA contract, so it means Smith will have to work harder to make 168 since the UKAD allowance will be gone. Smith vs Fielding was low level skills to begin with, so basic skills made up for the show. Smith is bigger than Fielding.

People need to realize that guys like Zurdo or Smith rehydrate like UFC guys at about 25lbs, no different than how JCC Jr. got away with water weight at 160. He only got a pass on HBO because of his name and the subs it would bring. With the UK guys like Fielding or Smith, UKAD won’t be there to help. This is when being a gym rat makes a difference. Canelo will be smaller than Smith, but his skills and conditioning will even out against Smith as it did with Jacobs.

Smith will be as ineffective as Jacobs was. Many people don’t realize how much power loss and endurance isn’t there when skimming down to weights you really don’t belong to.

Wow you just blew my mind with straight up logic I never considered. Maybe smith is using oxilofrine like BJS to make 168 w that huge frame?? For ages ppl were on here wondering how in the flying fck BJS was able to lose up to 50 lbs between fights & still making mw,then we realized that his very 1st vada fight he was exposed with oxilofrine thats legal til day before the fight under UKAD. The UK does seem to be very lenient with diuretics & I think its because they consider it a human rights issue to be able to use otc meds or something?

Victor Conte was saying its an unbelievably potent drug but idk
