GGG had 2 options fight any of the better opponents including his mandatory who all said I have no problem stepping with short notice on your date. OR move his date 1 month and fight someone better. Kind of like he is fighting on June 8 (1 month later) and still in line to fight Canelo in sept. He chose to NOT move the date and not fight anyone with a pulse and EVEN after the IBF said we disapprove of the quality opponent Vanes is and we warn you that you will be stripped if you fight him. He knew it and fought that bum anyway. He ducked and got stripped.

was he booked for a fight in May? Was he already in the midst of training for a fight in May? Did he not say from the start that he was keeping that date regardless of what happened with Canelo? The answer is yes to all of the above. So after all that, he should push back a fight date nearly 2 months which would exclude him from fighting in Sept for a much bigger pay day? Fking moron.
