It's a slow year but so what. 5 years as a pro he's won 3 belts, 22 fights and has the best CV of any HW by a mile. Not his problem Fury and Wilder have run a mile from him.

Like to see him get 2 more fights tho this year not 1. I think he needs to keep active.

Yea for the fighter especially if he's as accomplished and popular as Joshua. For the fans however it would definitely be a disappointing year if we don't get Joshua against Fury or the Wilder vs Breazeale winner. Quality of opposition matters to the fans and it reflects in tickets sales later, good fights against credible opponents raise your stock win lose or draw and it's better for the sport.

No one's actually defeated Ruiz and should have got the belt from Parker. .

The truth is that it was a close fight, most feeling Parker probably edged it.

As soon as Ruiz is set to fight AJ, history was been rewritten and suddenly Ruiz schooled Parker and got robbed.

For the record, i think Ruiz is a decent opponent but let's not make him out to be something he's not. He's around the level of Parker, Miller etc..which is ok. He's had one big fight at a half decent level and lost a close decision.
