I've been calling this fight too. It makes perfect sense for both guys

Seems like a bad idea to make this a PPV, but could be that they want more $ than regular TV can guarantee them & the only way the money makes sense is to make this fight is via PPV. Or thats my theory cuz I agree this does not have PPV fight written on it.
This would be like putting Clottey back in a PPV right after the Manny loss

LOL lets not go THAT far.

I agree its not a great idea to make this a PPV fight, but lets not put Mikey at the popularity level of Clottey. He's more of a draw then Clottey was. He's got more value at any level then Clottey had. Granted the performances were similar, but there is more to it than just that.

Sh^t man even from Danny as the A side this PPV don't make a lot of sense even if Mikey hadn't had such a bad night vs Spence.

Is this from some book that has a early line on proposed fights or just your guess?

Seems closer than it should be, but I'm lowkey thinking that could be give or take where it lands cuz Danny ain't exactly setting the world on fire lately either.

I'd love Danny at those odds doe if they are legit or turn out to be the line.

Will the ppv be something like 29.99?
I don’t want to pay 60+ for this. I’m already gonna pay for Thurman/Pac

You're in for a surprise then. But those are good enough odds even if you lose.

He has more drawing power than Clottey, no doubt about that. My issue is paying to see someone in a PPV fight after losing 12 noncompetitive rounds.

You think Mikey clearly beats Danny or even stops him or something?

I definitely don't see that happening. I think its a competitive fight worst case. And I think you're taking a much bigger leap of faith than I am if so.

To break it down a lil more I'll pretty much always go with the guy who's proven he belongs in a division over a guy who's not proven he belongs in a division even if he's proven he's not #1 in that division also. There is a degree of difficulty with that base take on the situation considering Mikey fought Spence, but I think Danny proved more about himself as a man & boxer vs high level guys in Thurman & Porter than Mikey did & that has value. Also that time Mikey called a fight with Salido makes me doubt his full desire for boxing to eek out a win in a competitive fight or in difficult moments.

The Spence non-performance tends to co-sign my take on Mikey not having a high level of pain he's willing to contend with to win. Granted he could've just quit, but I think his non-performance/survivor/not trying to win tactics was already a quitting of sorts.

This is an extremely tough styles match up for Danny. He isn't a stalker and likes to counter and box with his opponent in punching distance. Well, Mikey's footwork is very good and he's just flat out more talented and the better boxer. Danny is obviously more physical, stronger and has more pop. So he has that going for him. But do you really think he imposes himself on Mikey? The Spence fight is what it is. That was just a beast too big and too good for Mikey. But do you think Danny is better than Spence or anything? I think Spence washes Danny as well, maybe not 12-0 but he wins a CLEAR decision.

And natural size wise, Mikey is a lot closer to Danny's size than he is Spence's. This is a very good fight and LIS, I'm favoring Mikey. You seem to think Danny is pretty much a lock to win. To that I definitely disagree.

Well yea obviously on that part. For fans the PPV thing is a whole other dynamic than it is for the business side of things.

But it still don't make no f#cking sense to me as a PPV considering all sides outside of there just not being enough money to make it happen on Fox or Showtime for both guys to agree to it.

If they make it a PPV I think its a W if they get 150k buys. Maybe they could get higher if its a more reasonable price.
