What's the problem? he now has Ortiz (W) and Fury (Close fight that he lost). He also tried to fight Povetkin but Povetkin failed a drug test, not his fault.

For years he was clowned on, but he continued to upset the odds and prove people wrong. Fans and critics never gave him a chance, and yet here he is today, one of the highest-earning heavyweight champions of all time.

100% people forget Wilder picked up boxing at a late age, made the Olympics in a year. I respect all underdogs!

Go watch some of those fights & specifically Wilder & ask that again lol.

All boxers aren't created equal. Wilder has among the worst technical boxing skills of anyone who's gotten as far as he's gotten. Its honestly a victory in itself that Wilder is currently viewed as a top 3 guy by basically everyone from where his skills are at & where they were at.

That said power is the great equalizer even vs guys with superior talent then you, but Wilder was still pretty technically unsound early on that he needed some time to mature & grow as a fighter.

It is what it is & I was critical of him for a long time myself, but at this point he's proven himself as a top HW boxer.

Maybe its because he did not box until 19 and only had 20-5 fights. How come AJ did not fight for title in his 2nd fight like Loma?Maybe it was because he took up boxing at like 17 and had around 50 AM fights even though he not only fought in Olympics but also World Championships.See how that works.

Forget what he has done in the past, he is here now and his last three fights is better than anyone else’s at HW...as Janet Jackson would say “What have you done for me lately”

Here's our hero fighting a suomo wrestler.

I don't think he got dropped here, more of a slip, but still, Benny Hill - tastic scenes.

Many greats in boxing history not only had an amateur background, but also a highly padded record before they started getting big fights.

Joshua started boxing at age 18. Yet he fought for a world title in his 16th fight. Wilder fought a Cruiserweight/MMA fighter named Reggie Pena in his 16th fight. Wilder is a bum killer extraordinaire. Stop making excuses.
