Freddie Roach was on record saying that he didn't want Pacquiao to fight Crawford because he said that he saw Crawford as a younger, stronger version of Floyd Mayweather.

Arum later said that he didn't want to see Pacquiao get beat up badly.

I don't believe that Arum was worried about Pacquiao getting hurt. Pacquiao got hurt in the Horn championship fight, there's no point in being a world champion if you refuse to fight the best. Arum would've lived to feed Pac to Crawford.

Roach said he wanted Thurman after Thurman looked vulnerable coming off the layoff. Roach won't be in Pac's corner if Pac signs to fight Crawford or Spence.

yeah but Thurman is still a young champion....for all we know by the time this fight happens Thurman could have knocked the rust off

I think what motory city said is right

bob didn't wanna pony up the money to make bud a star....cause he probably figured hed take a loss between pac and crawfords guarantees

and we all saw how bob acted towards Floyd "cant do Oscar fight for you...ill lose money"=bobs exact quote to Floyd on the matter

yet somehow he wants haymon to come up and make a big fight with his guy?

what does this have to do with pac though? who was giving pac props or knocking him here? I didn't see anyone doing either
It just seemed to me that certain people who were hating on Pacquiao before all of the sudden support him when he moved to PBC lol. As to your question: I think Pacquiao losing to Horn had something to do with it. Although of course some may believe Arum set that one up.

That's a good question. Maybe Bob didn't believe it would to for Bud what beating Oscar did for Pacquiao, so he didn't even bother

Bob already gave his reason. He didn't want Pacquiao to get his ass beat. Apparently he loves Pac enough to not to feed him to Crawford, but throwing Pac in there with Horn and rigging the decision is fair game.

That's a bingo. Thurman looked like **** in his comeback against a washed up journeyman. Manny saw that **** and was licking his chops. If Thurman a supposed elite welter still in his prime as a man(30) cant beat a 40 year old with over 60 pro fights what does that say about him.

yup!!! there it is...from known anti pbc fanbois!!! "thurman is the more beatable"....lol

face it...bob didnt wanna risk the guarantees for both guys and losing money on the fight....the same way he wouldnt risk doing floyd/oscar fight for floyd "ill lose money" he straight up told floyd

al is willing to get a big fight done knowing it can boost thurman...and if thurman loses he can still do something with pac
