Porter-Ugas was always going to be competitive.
Thurman-Lopez was more entertaining than some originally thought but Thurman was coming off a big lay off. Not THAT unexpected.
Hurd-JRock to me the day it was announced was a hell of a match up.
Harrison-Charlo another fight I was a lot higher than damn near anyone else.
Just comes down to folks sleeping on the B-siders because they have a loss or two. But none of those fights or results surprised me. DSG blowing out Granados did surprise me though. Didn't expect that to happen. Didn't watch the LSC so can't comment on that but that was super trash to me on paper and there was a late replacement. I chose to watch the NBA All star weekend instead.Comment

I mean PPV doesn't just mean good fights. PPV is either two big names going at it or one star name fighting on it. The best FOTY types of fights usually aren't on PPV. In the last ten years, how many FOTY winners came on PPV?Comment

Most of the times, they don't even live up to the hype. However, this time as a non pay per view event; It was different.
Even though it wasn't billed as a Pay Per View fight, it delivered great entertainment and fireworks for sports fans who may not even like boxing. This was a David vs Goliath type of match up and David won.
Going in hardly anybody gave Williams much of a chance but he shook up the world. This was easily the fight and upset of the year.Comment
