    Why Is Boxing So Boring?

Nothing to be excited about. What fights are you really, really looking forward to? Any? Look at this board. It's semi-dead.

Good and potential great fighters aren't fighting each other because of promotional, network, and BS belts from corrupt alphabet belt orgs.

Boxing is my favorite and only sport I watch. What's happening to our sport, guys?

    What can we do?

I want all potential greats to fight each other, even if they are still young. They are better than the ranked pedestrian belt contenders. So called good fighters are feasting on cans.

Too many mismatches. These corny pre fight acts don't help the quality of fights either. Blowouts and fake tension leads to boring fights.

We have lesser quality fighters today maybe.

I sometimes fantasize about the 90s- Tito, Roy, Floyd, Martinez, Oscar, Vargas, Mosley- or a lightweight division with Shane, Oscar, Floyd, etc. Those days are gone I guess, but still hopeful!

its cause of 2 things, too many "NICE GUYS" in boxing, we need alot more bad guys, bad blood, F U altercations etc, and everyone is happy just making money fighting soft touches no one is daring to be great or even interested in trying to be great, its a money grab right now.

Exactly. No personalities. Imagine someone like Canelo, GGG, or Spence being a badass big mouth?

When UFC was a threat in 2016 having PPVs do +1 million buys while boxing couldnt even crack a million is when it forced the sport to be great again in 2017, 2018 with the Nelo-G fights

UFC is now on a app for ffs & isnt going to threaten boxing just like WWE whose ratings keep declining due to lack of stars.

What can we do? I watch NBA, Premier League, La Liga, LIGA MX, NFL, I dont mind Hockey so maybe you should watch other sports

If it's anything I see Top Rank/ESPN Boxing tanking too since their roster sucks imo & they are running out of laundromat workers for Lomo, Terence Crawford, etc

The gap between the good and the mediocre is wide in some div. Most notably the HW.

I also think we as boxing fans can be a lil impatient. We want to see major fights but the boxers/promoters/networks want to maximize every fight, earnings wise.

Also, when fighters don't fight as expected, that can come off as a boring experience.

Clickbait? Boxing is exciting. The matchmaking right now is awful.
