I was looking up George Foremans boxrec a few days ago, I noticed fought Cooper. I watched the fight on youtube(sick body shots by big George). This came really unexpected.
I will always remember him for the time he destroyed some fat, old bare-knuckle champ.

Damn shame, Cooper was a damn warrior! His fights against Moorer and Holyfield are classics to watch.
Hits home too, I've lost friends and family to PanCan. I actually play in a charity hockey tournament for Pancreatic Cancer every November.Comment

Biggest win. Former Amateur Champ and Olympic Silver Medalist Willie DeWitt was being pushed by CBS as a great white hope to eventually fight Tyson. On his network debut they put him against Cooper. Cooper destroyed him and bashed his nose and the blood was gushing as he laid on his stomach. Worst annaialation since Ken Norton KO'd Duane Bobick on national TV

At his best he was a very exciting and dangerous fighter. It's a shame that he didn't keep himself in shape like he should have and got into drug use.Comment

The 90s was the second best era ever in heavyweight history for boxing....Holyfield, Lewis, Tyson, Holmes, foreman, Morrison, Mercer, Bruno, McCall, bowe, moorer, and a whole host of good contenders....what an era that was to be a boxing fan. In any other era but that and the golden era of the late 60s and 70s, Bert Cooper probably wins a world title....certainly in this era. RIP to a real warriorComment
