DAZN Officially launches in Brazil. 3rd new country since January

DAZN’S SPORTS STREAMING PLATFORM GOES LIVE IN BRAZIL

DEBUTS WITH EXTENSIVE MULTI-SPORTS PORTFOLIO INCLUDING FOOTBALL, TENNIS, BOXING, BASKETBALL, MARTIAL ARTS AND MOTORSPORT

LIVE AND ON-DEMAND SPORTS STREAMING SERVICE COSTS R$37.90 PER MONTH ($9.55 USD / £7.30 GBP) WITH 1-MONTH FREE TRIAL AND NO LONG-TERM CONTRACT

SÃO PAULO/LONDON, 9 May 2019 – DAZN, the world’s first pure-sport live and on-demand streaming service has officially launched in Brazil, offering sports fans access to premium domestic and international competitions.

DAZN has been broadcasting exclusive football fixtures on social media in the run-up to launch and is now offering full access to its sports subscription platform. Brazil becomes DAZN’s ninth market, which now spans four continents, as it expands around the world.

At launch, DAZN has unveiled its content line-up for the nation that features top domestic and international football including; CONMEBOL Sudamericana, Campeonato Brasileiro Série C, Serie A TIM, Serie BKT and Supercoppa Italiana, FA Cup, Ligue 1 Conforama, Domino’s Ligue 2 and Coupe de la Ligue, MLS, J-League and AFCON. Other top sports include; the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and British All-Star Championship basketball, Matchroom Boxing USA and Italy, WTA tennis, NTT IndyCar Series, Professional Fighters League and Glory Kickboxing.

DAZN is available on nearly every connected device, including TVs, streaming devices, smartphones, PCs and games consoles. It’s affordable, costing R$37.90 per month (9.55 USD/ 7.30 GBP) with a one-month free trial, with no contract. Over the last few months, DAZN has brought on board a talented and diverse team of more than 30 Brazilian presenters, commentators and analysts as well as producers and influencers.

DAZN Executive Chairman, John Skipper said: “Going live in Brazil is the latest milestone in the DAZN journey, marking our ninth market across four continents. We’re excited to be at the forefront of this moment as streaming becomes the preferred way to consume the most valuable content in the world, premium live sports.”

Bruno Rocha, EVP Brazil, DAZN said, “We are excited and committed to bringing the best possible content to our affordable and flexible service for Brazilian sport fans. The passion that Brazilians have for sport is second to none, so it makes perfect sense that we bring our sports streaming service to the country.

“Football features heavily in our offering, and it’s our aim to overlay all kinds of premium sports to create an unrivalled offering. Ultimately, our goal is simple; to bring fans the best viewing experience with our intuitive platform, a varied premium sports portfolio at an affordable price.”

Big fan of DAZN, but I hope they're not spreading too thin!

Then again, that billionaire seems to be willing to go all in, so who knows...

Good for them, wish them nothing but success.

Still won't get it, the bias towards GBP boxers is out of this world, the other side is not getting a fair shake

Was just trying to find the price for DAZN Brazil & Spain the other day.

Looks like so far the only places that have the year long deal is the US & Canada.

Prices are pretty consistent doe. In the $10ish region monthly or yearly for US & Canada. So if that 4Mish subs number is legit thats $480M a year, give or take, they are bringing in now worldwide.

Worldwide was known from the getgo. Netflix is global, and are aiming to be the Netflix of Sports. Showtime and ESPN aren’t open territory like DAZN. Different business
