Why is Matchroom so slow at announcing fights?

Callum Smith vs TBA
Joshua Buatsi vs TBA
Josh Kelly vs TBA
Michael Hunter vs TBA

This has always been the case where it's pure silence then once it's close to fight week we get the Bogdan Dinu type announcements......

Usually they seem quicker then most promotions.

Admittedly that Callum Smith vs TBA one in 3ish weeks or so seems like a weird one that isn't getting done. I suspect they are having trouble finding an opponent or something is going on behind the scenes & it'll be a bs fight or they could even push him back.

The rest seem like confirmed or likely bs or bs-ish fights so TBA is somewhat standard.

Smith is fighting N'Dam, that's just being finalized. Hunter I assume is still TBA since he was in the AJ running and now could be facing Takam. Not sure why it's taken so long to get Buatsi and Kelly opponents though, that is disappointing

It does feel like Matchroom is being stretched a bit thin though with all the cards they have and being able to fill them with relevant fights, I guess Cash is off tomorrow's NXTGEN card now and guys like Billam-Smith, Shafiq and Swifty are in with joke opponents. Eddie needs to hire me as a matchmaker to help with some of this ****

Its frustrating. Seen elsewhere the fights have been set for weeks, just not completely finalised. Maybe its the way Matchroom works, not announcing fights til theyre completely tied up.

I just think they've had a lot of changes to focus on. They never said the June 1 date was in doubt, but cancelling it had to be an option.

Then you've got the spillover from that, eg Hunter.
