Does an elite boxing match always trump an elite UFC match?

I know the UFC has gained enormous popularity over the years, but when it comes down to it, does an elite boxing match always trump an elite UFC match?

Does anyone know if this is still the case these days IN THE PUBLICS EYES?

100% big boxing matches are bigger than big MMA matches.

That said MMA is more consistent with fun, competitive fights than boxing is. And a whole MMA show is better than a whole boxing show much more often.

UFC is mostly on an app ffs & their ppv stars are taking L's right and left or are retiring (GSP, Brock Lesnar, McGregor, Cyborg)

Boxing can be free, on ppv or on a app & fights like Spence-Porter, Thurman-Pacquiao, Canelo vs whoever will be intriguing meanwhile UFC only has Khabib-Tony Ferguson and Jon Jones-DC the rest suck like it's not interesting as it once was

Oh no doubt about it lol. This is no brainer for any true boxing fans.

I admit I hate MMA because of the grappling, wrestling , jiu jitsu and all that sht . An intense striking match is exciting but compared to Boxing, it’s pale.

        MMA is boring as ***.

Being a fan of both sport and not just being completely bias towards boxing...

No so fast Boxing Fans, well here in the U.S. I would say UFC has caught Boxing and may have surpassed it as a WHOLE. The biggest Superstar in All of Combat Sports is Connor McGregor, that cannot be denied and the numbers don't lie. His fight vs Khabib sold 2.4 Million PPV Buys, while Canelo vs GGG II sold 1.1 Million which was slightly less than the first Fight

However, the pay scale for Boxers compared to MMA fighters is not even close so boxing have that to hold on to and that will likely never change.

Still can't deny the fact that when it comes to overall popularity and also being popular with that important 16-34 Demographic, UFC future is brighter than that of boxing as a whole.

What hurts boxing is that it is so many Promoters and Platforms and they're so divided so we never get the best fighting the best consistently. UFC is destroying Top Rank and Bob Arum on ESPN because they're able to pump out the best fighting the best consistently while in boxing the best fighting the best seems like a once every 2-3 year event

What the hell does an elite MMA match even look like? Two large sweaty men grappling on the floor?

MMA is more consistently entertaining. There are just so many variables going on. And the best consistently fight the best. The opposite of boxing.

And there are some big time fights that live up to the hype and get crazy.

That being said, a big time boxing match is really the pinnacle and has a bigger feel to it.

You can be a wrestler or kickboxer and go to UFC and be top 10 in a couple of years. Try doing that with boxing. LOL. There's very few top mma fights out there maybe one every year.
