He apologised for making a mistake using a decongestant spray for a head cold without researching the ingredients properly.
And I repeat, BJS didn't break any WADA rules or the rules of any boxing commission, that's why he wasn't charged with any PED offence by anybody. -
Eddie Hearn said UKAD needs revision. Hearn is the face of UK boxing promotion.Comment

UKAD follow the same rules as USADA and every boxing commission in Europe and North America. They all need revision. It's crazy having VADA testing for boxers when boxing doesn't adhere to all the rules of VADA.Comment

I don’t care really, Hearn knows many in the UK use Oxylofrine as a nice option to help lose weight. It was a battle against Warren. Hearn was the smarter guy knowing he and DAZN benefit more by having 2 Middle Champs and makes the Matchroom portfolio better to DAZN execs. Don’t be naive. Even Tony Bellew said using Oxilofrine out of competition is ******ed. Hearn knows what’s up! What’s funnier are these loopholes being whistleblowed be guys keep at it. If UKAD allows it, Hearn is in a win win situation for domestic outcomes.Comment

Neither Hearn, Bellew nor BJS himself had even heard of oxylofrine till they saw it in the VADA report.
It wasn't even listed as an ingredient of the nasal spray BJS used, which is why Dr Goodman from VADA added a note to the report saying the oxylofrine reading could have resulted from a legal dose of ephedrine, which was an ingredient of BJS' spray.Last edited by kafkod; 05-07-2019, 11:57 AM.Comment
