The only way that happens is when fighters prove their skill in the ring. Even far right YouTube Channels that have been pro-Golovkin for years are swinging their opinions to now like Canelo, even the LDBC as of late are being divided to acknowledge Canelo’s skills.
I’m glad that Boxingscene members are now appreciating Canelo more than ever, why?

Cause he proves his worth in the ring. Im far from a Canelo fan but I have him P4P no. 1 right now. Can't have fighters with sh#tty resume as no.1. -
'Far right Youtube channels that have been pro-Golovkin' Lol y'all are a trip man.
Well most posters on this forum are either Canelo fans/GGG haters, or Floyd fans/GGG haters. The Floyd fan group will want to make Canelo out to be as great as possible because Floyd beat Canelo (ignoring that Canelo was weight drained and non-prime in that fight).
Canelo fan group is Mexican so will want to make him out to be as great as possible, that is self-explanatory.
Then there is a group of fans who give him credit where it is due - he beat Jacobs fairly straightforwardly and a lot of people acknowledge that and give him credit for that. I think Jacobs is a little shot after the GGG fight though but it was still a good win for Canelo.Comment

Because he's making a lot of noise, is being Enormously hyped, has had sensational last few performances and all of that just makes it more sweet for when somebody will come out of nowhere one day beating him.
He's definitely the bad boy of boxing like Tyson.
He is iconic, has the powerstructure fully behind him, consequences always escape him, revered if not feared by guys around his weight.. it's all these things that will make the person who beats him a true underdog and hero.Comment
