In a normal world this would be brushed aside, nowadays we have group of people whose feelings are easily hurt... from gay groups, meToo movements etc...anyone that does have a problem with his statement is a puci, when you listen to what Barry said you would understand what he really meant by the slave comment...hope black Americans have risen above that victimisation BS, if not they should go join meToo puci movement.

All I can say is that it's a good thing he is British, because had Barry Hearn been American he would have a caused a major shit storm in the states over his comments. There would have been protests, boycotts, calls for him to apologize, step down and every major sponsor his company is affiliated with, would have dropped him by ducking for cover over his saying some asinine shit like that.

It's a shame that only 6 months ban was given. This will promote the use of PED in boxing

You dont mention stuff like that, if you even mention anything about the Holocust watch how people come down on somebody.

white privillage and they dont have control of their careers otherwise Joshua would have taken the 50 millon for Wilder
WTF has the holocaust got to do with this? How could mass genocide possibly be relevant to a boxing conversation in anyway?

Slave contracts is an actual common saying and it's applicable to the scenario in which Barry was talking about because him and other promoters Black,White ***ish whatever were providing contracts that gave the promoter so much control over the fighter again black/white... that it was comparable to the total control over ******. Also he was condemning this.

Shouldn't have to spell this out you clearly don't understand racism which requires him to be prejudicing specific race and frankly it's ironic that you assume because an old white man mentioned the words slave contract and slave he has to be racist even though he using it as a metaphor to explain the control aspect and how things were worse for all fighters.

The only reason it was a poor choice of words is because people love to ignore the context and intent in order to make a big drama, Barry should have known that.
