Boxing costs money in the US either way. I think boxing is free in Mexico. Or primarily free anyway. A new player coming in & charging for boxing & in a poorer country then the US is fighting a losing battle. I'd be surprised if there is a DAZN Mexico move anytime soon.Comment

Okay. Figured someone had to show it but wasn't sure who.
Randomly I wonder if DAZN has pre-agreed on rights deals to different countries they roll out to in the future with Canelo & GBP & anyone else for that matter or if those rights just get individual discussed & decided upon or not upon DAZN entering these new countries? Cuz I do expect DAZN could be entering the UK in the future & will certainly be entering other countries in the future.
However, I believe that in all likelihood that most of the broadcasts that were shown in different countries were on television rather than DAZN.
I will say this, the more subscribers DAZN gets, then greater are their chances of them expanding globally into every corner of the earth; Similarly to other online streaming services like Netflix.Comment

Like I told you, I seriously doubt Mexican fans that can see Canelo fights for no charge will pay even as little as $8.33 a month. $8.33 is better than $79.99 but it’s not better than $0.00.Comment

There are more DAZN threads than I made single handedly. I knew the PBC shillers would fold and join the club. It’s for the big dawgs!Comment

You don’t know what you’re talking about. That’s like saying anyone who watched PBC Free primetime Fights have/had no knowledge of HBO, Showtime or ESPN paid subscriptions. Figure out the point. Your angle about consumers finding what’s free on TV has nothing to do with all the interesting content these VODs have.Comment

One of the most interesting aspects of DAZN's entry into the US market has been their transition from content distribution to content creation. Just as Netflix has moves towards creating its own shows, now DAZN can use their us cards to add value to other territories. It would be interesting in this regard to know if they had all of the international rights to Canelo bar Mexico?
As an aside is anyone else tired of the incessant tribalism on this forum? Whether it's PBC vs DAZN or Haymon vs Hearn or whatever, it's just not what I joined this forum for? I want to discuss boxing, including the business side of it. I don't want to see this constant bickering between people who are so invested in one faction or another?Comment
