Comments Thread For: Beterbiev: I Want Kovalev, I Want All The Champions at 175!

The knockout streak continues. Artur Beterbiev, - boxing's only world champion with a 100 percent KO ratio - knocked out the hard-hitting Radivoje "Hot Rod" Kalajdzic in the fifth round in front of 10,105 fans at Stockton Arena.

Bob Arum owns the LHW division! No reason we shouldn't get some very good fights on ESPN soon! MAN UP!

Fat Dan said Bivol was a broadcast free agent, so I think the path forward at LHW is pretty simple.

      Kovalev vs. Beterbiev (WBO/IBF unification)
Gvozdyk vs. Bivol (WBC/WBA unification + Lineal)

Winners face each other for the undisputed and lineal LHW title.

Now that will never happen because boxing is a horrible sport, but that's what should happen.

Artur whipped Kov 2 times in the amateurs. Let’s do this! I think Beterbiev will pull out the victory out of the 2. Prior to Andre Ward, Kov might’ve had a chance. I believe that he is damaged goods now

Yes, I agree, let's see if Kov steps up to the challenge. I sort of doubt it.

Fight should have happened 4 years ago. No one wants to see the Senior Olympics at 175. Put the two past prime guys, Beterbiev and Kovalev, vs the two young guys, Gvozdyk and Bivol, and let's REALLY find out what Kovalev and Beterbiev have left. Impossible to find that out if they fight each other. That will just tell us who is the best of the two past prime guys, it will do nothing to clarify who the best is at 175.

Unless Ramirez boxes Beterbiev's ears off first. I'd call it a 50/50 fight as of now.
