I like GGG. Here is the thing. We can all agree that Canelo is not ducking anyone. He’s basically fought everyone. Some fights have been great others he’s squeaks out the win. I thought he won last night pretty easily on paper. The fight itself was a bit closer. Kind of like when you see a nba team win a game by 12 but if you watched the game, it was a bit closer.
GGG owes Canelo. He was elevated by those fights. Before Canelo, GGG had maybe the most overhyped career trajectory I had seen as in a while. I mean Lemieux and Jacobs were his only opponents of substance.
Now GGG is sour. Seems like a jaded ex girl friend.
GGG wanted none of Ward. Has fought Canelo 2x and is still chasing him. Maybe it’s time GGG fight Andrade or Charlo(bum). Maybe GGG move up in weight and take risk. To me, the current Canelo might KO GGG as he’s there to be hit.
Right now in my opinion, Canelo is #1 P4P. He’s number 1 in money and number #1 by a substantial margin in his division. And has fought them all. I know there is room to disagree. Crawford is a good fighter. You tell me a fight where Canelo looked like Crawford Gamboa? I think it’s too soon for Crawford. Let’s wait and see. Khan is a bum. Alexander the same. A Spence Crawford fight would be interesting.

(Golovkin was after Canelo's money... but now he "thinks" he's "different"... but he's not...)

Agree with GGG's assessment as do most of the people who watched. It's not Canelo's fault, he was coming forward and dictating pace. I like Jacobs but there wasnt a sense of urgency in his approach at any point. The crazy thing is the judges still had it pretty damn close....a round or two and he could have sneaked a win on thier cards!

If you separate the fighter who made the comment, he is right. There isn’t a single person, Canelo fan or Jacobs fan, who can say otherwise. This was not an exciting fight by any means. Jacobs came to cash a check. How a taller and heavier fighter can fight in that manner and expect to win is beyond me. At the end it wouldn’t have mattered. They got the right winner.
