Cleanelo is one step away from unifying the middleweight division

I used to think that, but BJS keeps f#cking off & not taking things seriously so I've backed up off that stance. Maybe BJS can re-impress me like Fury did, who I also fell off the bus with & got back on eventually pre-Wilder (who I thought he beat).Comment

No it won’t. The LDBC always praise how great RJJ, Toney and Holyfield were even during a time when advanced drug testing didn’t exist nor was 365 an existence...Comment

Golden Boy is talking like Callum will be next, possibly at Wembley. Is Callum a lock to be next? Sounds like its up in the air.
I'd rather he stick to 160 honestly, but fair play at him going to 168 & fighting the #1 guy this time around in most fans minds (personally I lean towards David B being the actual best guy, but with his recent coke issues I can understand people being down on him + David B doesn't have the accomplishments that Callum has so while he might be the best guy he's not #1). Rocky was a bs fight. Callum isn't even if I don't think Callum has much of a chance.
I think Smith is a dangerous opponent because of how big and strong he is. The guy is 6'3" and probably enters the ring close to 190 lbs on fight night.Comment

Yea the Wembley thing seems like a fun thing.
Idk how dangerous Callum is doe. I still say he's overrated, but he's gotten the W's so fair play he's a guy worthy of fighting I can't argue with anyone there.
And you can bet anything that the $250k per lb over on the 2nd day weigh in is gonna be something that GBP increases money-wise & maybe even lowers weight-wise for Callum to cause issues with that advantage.
Plus I'm not so confident the caneloweight days are over as he moves up either. Although specifically for Callum idk if he can get much lower than 168.
Anyone thinking Callum is a threat to Canelo needs to go re-watch the Erik Skoglund fight & imagine what Canelo landing on Callum does to him & how much harder Canelo will be to hit than Skoglund was. Hell man Callum dropped rounds to that kickboxer guy ffs.Comment

That fight was a little while ago he’s improved since. He’s definitely a threat due to the sheer size of him. I don’t see this fight happening without a rehydration clause thoughYea the Wembley thing seems like a fun thing.

It was awhile ago no doubt, but I don't see much improvement. He lost a couple rounds to a late sub kickboxer ffs. Canelo is 10 levels above a kickboxer.
He had a highlight of his career fight with Groves, but I think people are making too much of that with where Groves was at in his career now looking back, how his injury mighta impacted his dedication & training for that fight & how he's always been the guy who does just enough to lose the big fights.
Yea agree there is gonna be a 2nd day weigh in requirement for that one if it happens & I won't be surprised if its for more money per pound or if its less than 10lbs.Last edited by Eff Pandas; 05-05-2019, 08:15 AM.Comment
