So true, Canelo was robbed against Floyd Mayweather due to this biasExactly right. Canelo is at the level of stardom that any small bit of success by his opponents is elevated to the point that they might have actually gotten robbed. Jacobs lived up to his hype only for very brief moments. As a boxer, he is not even close to Canelo's level.
And boy, you're right, Rozier is a god awful corner man. How was he not screaming at Jacobs to go all-out before that last round?!?
should've been a draw

... Danny has been beaten by two of the best products of "ex-Soviet school" and by the biggest star in boxing (as of today)...
... no, man... no... (there's no need to put it like this... truly...)
... as usual, people have to say significant things in order to sell fights... in this case, I guess that Jacobs took as reference that "Mexican style" formula... tbh...I'm still very confused about what him losing to 3 "white" fighters makes it any different? Yea he said African style which is pretty clear what he meant by that, it's a boxing style that's been well known for more than a century. How is that supposed to be disrespectful to anyone or make anything different? I was rather disappointed in him for not living up to the hype, but I don't understand the whole race thing?!
... see below...
... well... Jacobs is a bone cancer survivor... people, in general, can't fully understand the existential dramas of such survivors, who even succeed to stay at the top of a sport like professional boxing... a guy like Jacobs is a big over-achiever -- he started Death in the face, and he knows that he is very likely to stare Death in the face soon again... (we just can't comprehend what kind of "existential yardsticks" these people have...)Danny fought like a survivor alright....He did the bare minimum and hoped the decision would go his way. I like Danny and his story 100%, but I have to call it how it is-a cowardly effort backfooting against a dude FAR smaller in height and weight. He just probed with the jab instead of controlling Canelo with it....I expected more from Danny-it was a shame.Comment

Noone can admit they lost anymore in boxing. Its been a trend for the last 10-20 years. In the old days they just congratulated the winner. Now its always I was robbed.
His corner was freaking the *** out inbetween rounds. Because they KNEW Jacobs was losing the fight.Comment

Worst part with Canelo is he was beat by a short white man with a much bigger package. You could see how anxious Jacobs was at the weigh in when he knew people would be comparing their packages on stage and his teenie chocolate weenie looks like an ant next to canelo's giant red chorizo. Jacobs was so jealous he attacked Canelo on the stage! So much for BBC theory!Comment

Jacobs didn't do enough to win. In fact he did exactly what he needed to do to lose.
He didn't use his size and reach. He was most successful when he punched betweeen Canelo's punches but chose to "wait his turn" too often.
I give props to Canelo again for his chin. Jacobs hit him with about 2 or 3 shots that would've KO'd most of his opponents. Canelo walked through it unfazed.
Say what you want about Canelo he always finds a way to win. His style is so relaxed that he'll always come out on top in these kinds of fights.
The fight was close but Jacobs has only himself to blame for the loss.Comment

Canelo won but what are you saying it was 10-2, 9-3 to Canelo? He won so what difference does it make but it’s you that is being a rabid fan. The best man won let’s leave it at thatAnyone who found a way to score more than 2-3 rounds for Jacobs is either a rabid Canelo hater or is just woefully ignorant of boxing scoring rules. Canelo was the aggressor throughout and was twice the better boxer. He got a little loose in a few rounds, but this was not really a close fight.Comment
