    Canelo's defense is very impressive.

His head and upper body movement is phenomenal. That really stuck out to me.

Yeah. We used to s hit on him about lack of head movement and then post Trout dude’s defense has been tremendous. It’s genius considering he has slow feet and really brings out his naturally impressive handspeed and reflexes. His team has worked and refined his weaknesses into downright scary strengths.

Yea we can criticize his foot work or lack thereof, but he makes up for it by his upper body movement, he always has. That head movement tho, sheesh..he went Ultra Instinct tonight.

I swear him losing to mayweather was the best thing to happen to him. I don’t remember him having that type of movement until after the loss.

I guess he said if you can’t beat them join them lol.

He's very flat footed so he can't use his legs for defense. He's developed that head movement out of necessity.

Yessir, Canelo has some Toney in him. You have to target the body against him and then go upstairs. Either that or you have to have faster hands than him and beat him to the punch.

It looks flashy but it was no more effective than jacobs who was catching the shots on the gloves. Canelo seems to win rounds purely on headmovement and not landing jack**** to the other fighters head either.

I actually edited my ish right after.

                  But yeah.
Exactly. But thats a credit to his team. At MW his lack of foot speed is almost a non issues because his handspeed is so much faster than anyones. And along with his reaction time and iq, he went from hittable to making a guy like Jacobs so shy that hed throw slapping weak shots to avoid overcommitting and despite the length difference, Canelo is somehow always in range. Slow feet but good feet.
