... Kalajdzic was completely innocent, tbh...

Ward retired at the right time. Beating Kovalev had Beterbiev IBF mandatory and Bivol was WBA mandatory, no?

Ward would have lost to both IMO. But Beterbiev would have battered him.

This guy is one of the reasons Ward retired. After Ward lost to Kovalev, knowing Beterbiev was also in the 175 picture - he decided to bail with some bs excuses.
Beterbiev is a beast, will be difficult to take.the belts from.him.

... I specifically said "back in 2013, I believed that Beterbiev would have been the only one to badly beat Ward"... (but please don't make me check my posts here that far back!!! )

... and I still trust that Beterbiev holds/held the right style to beat / have beaten Ward...

Is this supposed to be a low key excuse why Browne got dominated by Hot Rod? Cuz if you're not aware, Browne is the 2nd biggest weight bully in the division after Zurdo. Browne was 192 or 193 pounds in the ring vs Badou Jack. For comparison, Bivol, Kovalev, and Gvozdyk all fight in the 181-184 range. Hot Rod I believe was only 185 when he fought Browne, less than Browne.

BTW, Kalajdzic went the distance against Hype-Job Browne and lost a split decision he should have won... That says it all...

True but now it doesn't matter. He stopped Kalajdic but took 12 to stop Koelling. Hes still strong but the punches arent as fast or crisp anymore. He might still have enough to beat the champs now, but he's not what he was, he's more at that GGG stage now, and as a result he will probably lose sooner than later. Boxing wasted more great talent by not getting this guy fights in his prime. Thanks Al and Yvon.

In the Koelling fight I do believe he just wanted rounds he could have taken him out earlier if he wanted to but he knew he was no threat and just tested a few things Ie jab and work-rate. I do also believe Beterbiev is trying to cash out as much as possible he also knows he isn't the fight he once was, he seems to have lost something. He a fool for staying in the amatures so long and dispute with his last promoter.

He did the same with Browne, that was an ugly fight too. His style is horrible and he looks like he should be easily beatable, but Browne couldn't handle him, only getting the decision through a false knockdown call by the ref in the first round plus some questionable judging (and the ref not taking a point away from Browne for holding for the best part of 4 rounds out of the 8).

He made Beterbiev look like a caveman too - hard to look good against Hot Rod ! (or beat him - Beterbiev the first one ignoring Browne's gift).

The weight bully is done, so he can go báck to 190. And last I heard Browne outboxed Hot Rod no matter how you reason the loss in your mind. Browne didn't come from CW down to lhw so low key your ass outta here. Raja is done.
