Why should there have been a rehydration clause anyway? Canelo and Jacobs are both middleweights.
It was a bit dirty in the Golovkin situation because Golovkin had to stay within the 10lb rehydration limit to keep the IBF belt, but in this case there is no sanctioning body enforcing the rule (to my knowledge), so Jacobs should be allowed to rehydrate to whatever he likes.
I like Canelo as a fighter but don't like the preferential treatment he gets.Comment

Nápoles was a natural 135, idi.ot, he was the Challenger of Carlos Ortiz from Puerto Rico, and Ortiz duck.ed him so bad
Thats the reason why he moved up to 147 pounds, but he was a 135 pounds fighter.
I.diot, you can't teach me about history of mexican boxingComment

Mayweather sure did but he's right in a way. Mayweather outboxed Canelo and got a draw on CJ Ross' card (114-114) so I get where he thinks Jacobs has to damage him bad. If one more judge was like Ross there would have been a huge controversy. Thankfully, the other judges had some sense.Comment
