Laughing at the dummies calling this cheating. There was an option for him to come in over 170 and pay money and he is. That is not cheating that is following the contract. Cheating would be messing with the scales or something.

Are fans of a fighter who tested positive twice for PEDs really calling Jacob's a cheater for coming in 3 1/2 pounds over a weight stipulation that wasn't a requirement but rather an added contractual stipulation that the A side fighter implemented as part of his negotiating power?? Gtfoh clowns.Comment

The goal of a set fight is to fight for the belt/prize of that weight class. To say there trying to make an even playing field is full bullch1t.
If there really that damned concered they should make them weight in minutes before getting in the ring and we all know that will never happen.
24 hours is fair. Anyone who wants to deplete themselves is on them.Comment

Agree or coming into "offical" weigh in heavy.Comment

I dont disagree i was just asking if the IBF still has that rule or if they dropped it for unification fights which rings a bell to me.The IBF is the one who started that "no more then 10pds over", and was just asking if it was still in place, or if this was just Canelo putting into contract.
I wonder if his next stipulation at 168 will be you cant weight 169 the day of the fight.Comment

No respect for Jacobs nowComment

The problem is when the guy agrees to it, it's in the contract, promoting the fight saying he's doing it tells the belt orgs he's doing it and then blows it off while the other fighter complied and shows up following the second day weight requirement. It's the sneaky way Jacobs has done it twice that is a dirtbag move to gain a advantage on 2 fighters who showed up following the 2nd day weight requirement. I rooted for Jacobs against GGG and called him out then it was Bush league dirtbag move. I won't go the route GGG fans did it's not cheating wasn't against GGG and its not against Canelo. But it's not a good look. Had he told GGG or Canelo day 1 I am skipping the weighin it's a different story it's the sneaky way he lied and pretended he was following the rule throughout the promotion, training camp and all the interviews when it was premeditated he knew he was blowing them off to gain advantage over his opponents.Comment
