Comments Thread For: De La Hoya: Canelo Winning Will Cement Status as #1 P4P Best

WOW I finally agree with Oscar for once! He actually has a legit argument for #1 going into this fight to be honest. He should be INSULTED that Crawford and Loma are ranked above him by some people because Loma and Crawford Resumes COMBINED still doesn't match up to Canelo

I will go a step further, if he Unifies 160 by the end of this year he is Fighter Of The Decade IMO

Not like being number one means anything anymore. Lomachencko is the weakest P4P king boxing has had in a long time. It's a joke that him and Crawford dominate so many lists. You know money must have switched hands behind the scenes.

He definitely has the best recent resume (recent because Manny has the best overall of active fighters). If you are basing it off that then probably, of course with the GGG that many unbiased fans see there is some controversy.

And of course not everyone just looks solely at resume.

Still, he has to be in the conversation regardless of how you cut it.

Oh how i wish Nelo had this same energy at 154... the killers are coming and id bet thats when he makes his permanent 168 move and flirts with 170-175... by the way, is this enough proof that 3G was a king in a weak division (era).

P4P is as much about how you win vs. who you beat. A tight decision vs. Jacobs won't do it, but if he sparks Jacobs spectacularly within 6 rounds, I don't think anyone would have an issue if he was placed #1.

Best resume because he can't lose if a fight goes the distance.
