    Canelo's Confident? Why?

When did Canelo beat GGG? I must have missed it. There was a day when a champion had to lose somewhat convincingly to lose his title. Especially a dominant, undefeated champion. All Canelo had to do was survive and stay upright as long as Dela Hoya controlled the judges. Scoring should be displayed after each round to keep boxing honest. They're just afraid the crowd in attendance would tear the roof off the place. The money behind the powers-that-be who endeavor to create these media darlings is actually detracting from the legacy their chosen fighters end up creating, and in the minds of dedicated boxing fans and also the annals of history these "created, hyped" stars will always finish below the self-made legends like GGG, Hagler, and Duran. No hype or purchased publicity needed. No purchased judges either.

Whether you think he beat Golovkin or not he has to be on a high right now. He now knows for sure he has a world class chin. That had to have boosted his confidence level.

Ok you just used dominant and self made to describe GGG career. 1: He was dominant while he was fighting cans. 2: he was backed by one of the biggest networks today in HBO. He was a product of HBO. They made you believe he was this monster while he was crushing cans. Then he faces his first real opposition in Jacobs and all of a sudden the ko’s stop. Then he faces Alvarez and all of a sudden he got old. They guy is a good boxer but not great. And certainly not in the same league as Hagler or Duran.

How much of Canelo's popularity these days comes from being polarizing like Floyd was?

That’s a hater right there. Jealousy is not a good thing. But he’s most likely a casual.

This may well be a sticking point in negotiations with GGG for a third fight; GGG will most likely refuse to fight Canelo in Vegas again and Canelo will surely resist leaving the city where he begins each fight up 2-3 rounds on the cards.
Like he has any say about it beggars can't be choosers if it's not vegas it's Texas or mexico with no boxing no life gloves.
