their defense sucks. To me Julius Jackson was just telegraphed slugger/haymaker. Very similar to how Chris Eubank would just throw haymakers

Don't feel bad. We talk boxing here. You just didn't want to hear such things.

Jackson was what 29 wins and 27 KOs against Mike McCallum?

What was Lucas Matthyse's record when he lost to DannY Garcia? like 34 wins and 31 KO's or something? Even Chino Maidana had a huge KO to Win ratio...

Julius Jackson would get murked by Canelo. Canelo doesn't just walk into shots flinging jabs without lifting one glove to protect his face the way Graham did...

        get'cho salty ass outta here

Thing is Jackson was a legit 1 punch KO guy even at world level, most good punchers accumulate those types of KOs as they are coming through...Jackson could do it at the highest level...that is extremely rare...in other words all bets are off. You always have to like Canelo in the match up, but as the previous poster said he'd have to be very careful, in.the grand scheme of things he's a tiny middleweight, this era are quite small overall, even the WWs. Jackson had monsters in his era.

He was more than a slugger, but certainly not elite level skills and he did get exposed at the highest level, but that doesn't mean he wasn't capable of turning out anyone's lights. He did starch Terry Norris (hofer) albeit vulnerable, and Graham, who honestly speaking is one of the best fighters the UK has produced even if his resume doesn't say it

Canelo rolls any punches Jackson throws. Jackson telegraphed most of his power punches, easy to read and time from counterpunchers like Canelo. Canelo is leaps beyond technique compared to Graham and Jackson. He'd beat them on the same night. Seeing how the Jackson family curse, they get sparked out by elite level competition. I think Hurd alone would stop Julius Jackson let's not act gay now. Herol Graham in that fight has ******ed defense compared to Canelo. Canelo destroys Jackson in 4 rounds.
Im not asking if Xanelo wins im just saying if Jackson happend to land that on him would he survive?

Don't even bother with this idiot unless you say Canelo is the greatest of all time he will just keep coming back and back and back.

No mate. Julian Jackson was a natural born puncher who could knock GOOD solid opponents out who had good chins, throwing his punches off balance. Jackson had freakish power that enabled him to knock men out COLD no ten count necessary from unorthodox angles. He was also a sound technical fighter who knew how to cut the ring off and patiently wait for the inevitable opening that his opponent gave. He also was a very busy fighter. Jackson had an incredible punch rate activity that in his PRIME enabled him to go at full tilt until he stopped his man. He fought much better opposition than the carefully guided and protected Canelo. Herold Graham was the kind of fighter Canelo would want no parts of due to his style and Jackson after being out boxed for almost 15 rounds, SNIPERED Graham with a punch that still reigns at the top of KO shots when highlighted ko victims are brought up. Buster Drayton had a tough sturdy jaw and Jackson had him literally out before Draytons back hit the canvas. Canelo hasn't ever faced a legitimate power puncher. The closest he's faced in that area is an aging Gennady Golovkin who is more of a heavy handed puncher as opposed to a true one punch KO artist. Even Hearns didn't put opponents out like Jackson did.
Canelo gets caught by the punch that turned Herol Graham into a human Rag doll, he goes down and stays down the same way of not worse.
