Golovkin wants his name spelled "Gennadiy" from now on

So Triple-G asked media to spell his first name G-E-N-N-A-D-I-Y now because that's how it appears on his birth certificate and how he wants it. Now can someone tell him he has his name misspelled on his @GGGBoxing twitter account? 😉

It will be done then my lord, Gennadiy. I will make sure everyone in this forum spells it correctly or they're getting confronted, period no questions asked.Comment

There is no I in TEAM, but there is a ME!Comment

...so? Heaven forbid the guy actually wants his name spelled the correct way.
A more interesting matter is why do we have to call Gervonta Davis Ger-von-tae when it's clearly Ger-von-ta...? We can't just pronounce words however we choose. Language has rules and if you (meaning whichever parent filled out his birth certificate) misspell your kid's name... tough. You don't get to make the rest of us sound illiterate just because you are.
As an aside, if anything has changed Golovkin's attitude in recent times, it's twice being the victim of the ongoing corruption in this business we sometimes like to call a sport.Comment

Proper spelling and all. One wanted her name pronounced "Dan-Nell".
So the other Danielle called her "Dumb as hell, Dan-nell."Comment
