A lot of triangle theories going on here, and they don't usually work as styles make fights.
Golovkin gets attention as he's a recent common opponent, so understandable that he comes up. What is for sure is that, no matter who we think won what, Golovkin/Jacobs/Canelo all demonstrated themselves to be at the same level a couple of years ago - from there, its all about styles and what's happened since.
Canelo is either the same or better, Golovkin likely aged and not so good any more, and don't know about Jacobs yet. Arguably Golovkin's style is better for Canelo as he doesn't move like Lara for example, and as Canelo implemented in the 2nd fight, isn't as effective going backwards.
Jacobs moves differently than Golovkin, is more adept at fighting going backwards, so it might indeed be a harder fight for Canelo style wise, but this doesn't mean he's 'better' than Golovkin was, just that his style might be more difficult for Canelo to crack (or not, we'll find out on the night).Comment

hold on a sec, he barely squeaked past ggg in that fight and lost the first (imo) but now hes facing a much more difficult opponent, has canelo discovered another 25% in his game at least since then or is he by definition doomed in this fight by his own admission ^^
How is he going to beat a much more difficult opponent than ggg when he might have even lost to the lesser opponent, this will be tough ^^ He must have found some new special meat in that caseComment
