Comments Thread For: Whyte on Hearn's List: He Should Have Ranked Me Above Fury

Where is this myth that he struggled with Chisora coming from?
Yes, it was a close fight up to the knockout. Chisora was the come forward fighter which bagged him rounds, but Whyte was the better boxer throughout. And he finished him convincingly. I don't think it ever looked like Whyte didn't have another gear to go to.
Obviously he doesn't have a case for being number one. That's bravado, and that's fine.
He can make a case for his resume though.
He's beaten some good fighters.
Fury has one name (that he beat) on his CV. And it was a drug ban ago.
Wilder has Ortiz and nobody else even close to the discussion.

What top contender have you beaten? Life and death with Chisora two times? Parker who Ruiz already exposed as being not that good that had you in a near death experience?

Whyte is a really good fighter. I think the fact that Wilder and Fury are dodging him says it all. I actually think Whyte *could* be an easy fight for Wilder, because he's easy to hit and Wilder is fast and has huge power. It depends what his tactics are for that fight..
But I think Whyte could beat Fury. I know they have sparred and it wasn't easy for Fury....
Whyte is number 3 for me behind Wilder. Fury can't be considered in top 3 since he hasn't beaten anyone in over 2 years. Uysk shouldn't be in the list at all yet. Not sure why Hearn put him in there, when he hasn't boxed at heavyweight yet,

I’m Australian and I can comfortably say that.
And you use Joshua as a reference? He got knocked out by Joshua and looked ordinary besides a good left hook early in the fight. And Chisora he struggled with, again. Keeping in mind fury toyed with Chisora and just showed the level he is at.
You don’t base fights by just saying oh he fought him so he’s regarded higher.
You’ve said some reasonable things in the past and this ain’t one of them.
He’s a good contender, but he’s not in the top 3. Only his promoter thinks so, and he gets paid to say that

Can Oleksandr even beat a Joseph Parker? Has Edward forgot that without the mistake made by UK referee Ian John Lewis in the second round of Whyte vs. Parker, in calling a clash of heads a knockdown ( instead of a foul ) resulted in a 10-8 round in favor of Whyte? Furthermore who can forget the overt assistance that Whyte received from that crooked Ian John Lewis in a last dramatic effort by Joseph Parker in the final round?
Without these unfair rulings victory goes to Joseph Parker and we would not be reading this bias rubbish from Hearns.

Whyte is decent but not number 3 at all! The only thing that he hangs his hat on is hurting AJ early when they fought before getting stopped. He's an above average body puncher I'll give him that but he's not top 3. I would like to see wilder fight him next if there's no AJ fight to see how Whyte does.

Whyte has one big loss. Besides, he was down against Parker and if the match could last more (eg 15 rounds) he would have probably lost.
Against Fury he would not hit him once. Wilder would probably kill him as an easy target.
Usyk...dunno, not tested at hw, but for sure can boxe better than whyte.
Also Kownaki beats Whyte, imo.
