I had GGG winning a close decision in the rematch. Ironically, I had Canelo winning a close decision in the first fight. So I’m pretty much backwards when it comes to popular opinion. Either way, I didn’t have a problem with either decision.
That said, to say either fighter was beaten from pillar to post in either fight is pretty dumb. I thought Canelo had a bad game plan in the first fight. Because GGG struggles fighting on the inside. And he’s great at cutting off the ring. So movement kinda plays right into his hands. But Canelo still had plenty of success in that fight and didn’t sustain a lot of damage. GGG probably took more punishment in the first half of the rematch than either fighter had taken in the other eighteen rounds they’ve fought. GGG was beaten up pretty bad, especially to the body. But he showed an ability to adjust mid-fight and started winning rounds by outboxing Canelo.Comment

Yeah the adjustments he made against the wishes of his trainer. LOL.. Able needs to reevaluate his training methods and his corner work. Maybe the termination of their relationship will be a wake-up call for him but I don't hold out much hope.I had GGG winning a close decision in the rematch. Abel basically criticized GGG for making the in-fight adjustments he made in the rematch. Which is completely idiotic to me because GGG was probably on his way to getting stopped. At least in my eyes. GGG has an iron chin. But I haven’t seen a fighter yet that has an iron body. And GGG was getting beaten up to the body and you could tell in his body language that he was getting weary. I was never a fan of Abel. He’s an attention whore like Roach. But the way he conducted himself after the rematch was confirmation to me that GGG needed to move on. And I’m happy that he recognized it and did it. And Abel’s conduct after the split further solidified what a douchebag he really is.Comment

Yeah agreed. Here is another factor. Able I firmly believe was the prime mover about getting Canelo to fight in the center of the ring and abandon his defensive tactics. His corner may have been headed that way but why invite a guy who by that time was known to have a great chin and faster hands to trade with your fighter. When I watched the fight it was my distinct impression that Canelo was doing better off the ropes when he engaged Golovkin. All that weaving and ducking was expending energy with no offensive payoff for Canelo. It's not a coincidence that Canelo seemed at least to me had better stamina in the rematch. He was simply more efficient in his expenditure of energy. Sanchez was all for it. I know in hindsight it's easy to be a critical but Sanchez is paid to make correct decisions.Abel basically criticized GGG for making the in-fight adjustments he made in the rematch. When GGG raised an objection the gloves were not used. That shows you there is a problem with that. The fact it was used before doesn't mean it's right. It's like Margarito's hand wrapping. He did his stuff numerous times before, knocking people out with some people claiming he was the boogeyman. The authorities would be watching the hand wraps until Mosley's team objected and he was even suspended and then everyone noticed what was wrong. Without the hand wraps Margarito had no power because before he was hitting people with plaster now the plaster was gone. Dodgy gloves are like plaster. Let's not forget Canelo couldn't knock out Hatton and many other useless fighters then from nowhere he had power, apart from the beef the gloves do the job.Forget about the gloves. The brand of gloves the fighters
use to fight is as insignificant as the brand of condom you
use to f***. If you can f*** you can f***, and if you
can fight you can fight. Trying to wear a magnum will not
make you a better lover, and the brand of gloves will not
effect the outcome of the fight. If you had read the
article then you'd have known that the particular brand
of gloves had been used numerous times without incident,
and are already approved by the commission.
Your baseless, effeminate complaints are obviously fueled
more by hate and saltiness than by fact.Comment

I'm not a GGG diehard by any chance but I just want fairness in boxing which people are denied when facing Canelo. The dodgy beef, dodgy gloves, dodgy judges, dodgy score cards and victories he didn't deserve. I just can't support robberies. I have no problem with Canelo as a person, he is probably a nice guy but let him win the right way.You 3g diehards are an embarrassing bunch. These same judges are LITERALLY the best most respected in the business BY FAR. To top it off 3g got to pick the judges & only judge Moretti got picked for 2nd fight that was also in the 1st. Hes as much a ggg judge as any on earth & had ggg winning 1st fight but losing 2nd by same margin 115-113.Comment

Firstly 10 judges were presented including Bird who gave Alvarez 118-110 or 112 against GGG in the first fight and some other wonky ones. There was a protest and now the same judges who gave Canelo the victory against GGG are judging this fight? The GGG fight was controversial. If you want to be fair why bring the same judges? Can you instill confidence by doing that? This is like an electoral commission from an African country.Do any fans really believe anything that this nut said? Canelo outboxed Gennadyovich in the 1st fight although Borat outworked Canelo. It was a draw or 7-5 GGG. Great fight.
All the announced judges are good judges. Since you are denigrating Canelo's gloves I assume you work for an Athletic Commission somewhere. I mean you must have an objective reasoning for strongly opposing a pair of boxing gloves.
And I definitely know you're aware the "NSAC" had nothing to do with Canelo's fight with Fielding because the fight took place in...NEW YORK and NOT Nevada. Making it the NYAC and not the NSAC.
Again, being a Borat dick sucking faggot - like you are - I'm sure you knew all of those things.
These kids are still bent out of shape because Ca$hnelo whooped Borat...

The only reason Byrd was in the pool, was because the pool includes ALL active judges & she was reinstated despite having scored the fight wide for Canelo.Firstly 10 judges were presented including Bird who gave Alvarez 118-110 or 112 against GGG in the first fight and some other wonky ones. The 3 selected judges have more integrity than you can ever have judging by your biasedness. Those were the same judges that have ALWAYS favored ggg even against Jacobs. Its a PROVEN fact that vegas has the best judges on earth. No matter how much crying fanbois do. These judges have been selected by both Madison square garden aka nysac & Nevada Nsac biggest ppvs because their track record of judging fights dating back decades speaks for itself. Learn some respect.
Its a known fact ggg got to pick these judges & the only judge that judged both fights was the same one that had ggg winning 1st fight,& whom has had ggg winning by every rd in other fights. He had Canelo winning by same margin as he had ggg winning 1st fight & vs Jacobs.
Jacobs has the option of getting these judges removed but he obviously trusts them because he didn't exercise the option.Last edited by kushking; 05-02-2019, 10:49 AM.Comment
