Firstly 10 judges were presented including Bird who gave Alvarez 118-110 or 112 against GGG in the first fight and some other wonky ones. There was a protest and now the same judges who gave Canelo the victory against GGG are judging this fight? The GGG fight was controversial. If you want to be fair why bring the same judges? Can you instill confidence by doing that? This is like an electoral commission from an African country.

Byrd isnt one of the judges for the Jacobs fight. The shame about Byrd is she made the first fight controversial when there really was none.

All three judged gave Canelo the SAME 5 rounds and two other judges gave at least 1 other round.

Having Canelo win 6 rounds in the first round was not a stretch and was fair. The Byrd card though cast a horrible cloud over things.

It is not possible to give Canelo more than 7 rounds in the first fight while GGG could've been given 8. The point is many rounds were close and although the fight was a draw..GGG definitely won the event.

In the rematch the outcome was either a draw or Canelo 7-5 win. While there were many close rounds again the fight overall was tighter. Byrd was not a judge in this fight and - most importantly - the GGG camp literally picked the judges. Unlike the first fight Canelo won the event and the narrow decision.

The judges used for GGG rematch are being used for Jacobs fight. And that's a GOOD THING.

Anyone who cries robbery or controversy immediately gives away bias. Neither fight was a robbery or controversy. They were both very competitive fights and as I've said over the past 2 years...it very well could be 12-12 after 24 rounds, however, Canelo definitely has the momentum now.

The only "controversy" was Byrd and that was a shame

The only reason Byrd was in the pool,was because the pool includes ALL active judges & she was reinstated despite having scored the fight wide for Canelo.

The 3 selected judges have more integrity than you can ever have judging by your biasedness.Those were the same judges that have ALWAYS favored ggg even against Jacobs.Its a PROVEN fact that vegas has the best judges on earth. No matter how much crying fanbois do. These judges have been selected by both Madison square garden aka nysac & Nevada Nsac biggest ppvs because their track record of judging fights dating back decades speaks for itself. Learn some respect.

Its a known fact ggg got to pick these judges & the only judge that judged both fights was the same one that had ggg winning 1st fight,& whom has had ggg winning by every rd in other fights. He had Canelo winning by same margin as he had ggg winning 1st fight & vs Jacobs.

Jacobs has the option of getting these judges removed but he obviously trusts them because he didn't exercise the option.

The only things people know for sure is you are wrong.

Golovkin can't pick the judges only object to them.

Fighters and their teams have the right to contest the use of objectionable judges, but ultimately it is up to the NSAC to assign judges to fights in Nevada. Typically, the NSAC has acquiesced once objections are made in order to avoid conflicts once fights are scored.

Yeah agreed. Here is another factor. Able I firmly believe was the prime mover about getting Canelo to fight in the center of the ring and abandon his defensive tactics. His corner may have been headed that way but why invite a guy who by that time was known to have a great chin and faster hands to trade with your fighter. When I watched the fight it was my distinct impression that Canelo was doing better off the ropes when he engaged Golovkin. All that weaving and ducking was expending energy with no offensive payoff for Canelo. It's not a coincidence that Canelo seemed at least to me had better stamina in the rematch. He was simply more efficient in his expenditure of energy. Sanchez was all for it. I know in hindsight it's easy to be a critical but Sanchez is paid to make correct decisions.

GGG’s reputation as a puncher makes guys wanna stay away from him. I think Canelo’s plan of attack in the rematch came about because he knew his chin could hold up. And he fought GGG with little to no respect for his power. Ironically, Canelo was seen as the better boxer. But when GGG adjusted and started moving, he for the most part outboxed Canelo in the second half of the fight. I’ve never been a fan of GGG. But he gained my respect in that rematch and I’m super excited to see a third fight. But it seems like Canelo wants GGG to age a little more before fighting him again.

Remember when Abel sanchez was claiming that he didn't want Canelo using the gloves because he supposedly was going to use them falling apart to survive while they swapped gloves for him? Then ggg "RAN" most the fight (he "ran" far more than canelo was claimed to have the 1st fight by 3g & team bs) after calling for a mexican standoff
