GGG is a special case, because of his long ass amateur career, he had over 350 amateur fights!
even if he wasn't in many ring wars as a pro, there's still a lot of wear and tear from training so much, fight so many fights over so many years
so yeah, GGG was past his prime against ginger, not shot but not nearly at his best either. you could see a very clear decline ever since the Brook fight
Im surprised Loma and Rigo are still performing at their current level after their long ass amateur careers, tbh, but then again, those two are the most decorated amateurs of all time for a reasonComment

Lots of people have all-star casts, they don't win 6 out of 6 rings with 6 finals MVPs
And no, Jordan wasn't still at his absolute prime in '93 when he won his 3rd.
'86-91/92 Jordan was the prime Jordan, where he could just put up 60 points on any given night.Comment

Lot's of people aren't Michael Jordan.. and people can say what they want but there wasn't much competition standing in the way with the talent level of the bulls around back then either. Just like there isn't with GSW or in the East when LBJ was in his prime. We knew who was going to the Finals every year just like when MJ was playing.
Granted he was like 36 by then but you see he didn't win shyt when he went to the Wizards along side average players, but yet even at 36 had he stayed with the Bulls, he'd have went to the finals again.
Prime is prime, absolute prime and all that is subjective, so yea you may not still be in your peak prime at 32 as your are at 23 or 25 but you are much more experienced then you were at 23 and that's the offset.Comment
