Not sure what exactly is going on here. Maybe Ortiz isn't clean and knows he won't pass the drug testing. Otherwise, if he's banking on a rematch with Wilder, rather than taking a guaranteed offer from Hearn right now, he's a fool. He's too old to be waiting around and Wilder is not the big money fight.

LOL whats all this bollocks? If you want to talk about this as a regular job then we will say Anthony Joshua has had a number of promotions that Ortiz hasnt had yet in the form of a number of world titles and a massive financial backing which Ortiz does not bring any of either. And with those promotions comes an increase in salary.
A side B side has worked perfectly well all over the world for many many years in this sport and everybody has understood what makes an A side, belts or value, Joshua towers over Ortiz on both fronts. Why is it NOW that you want us to pretend A side B side is to be forgotten and we will talk pots and regular work?
But then Ortiz was offered 7 million Dollars, 14x his highest payday and they turned it down. Why are you still trying to talk about money and lowballs and what Ortiz was worth? EVEN ORTIZ and his entire training team, advisors and management have all come out in the last few days and said its a great offer. Why are you feeling like LITERALLY EVERYBODY IS WRONG and you are right?Comment

No. He was offered 5 and 7 I think that’s an amazing offer. Anyway this is what I mean Aj is being taken for a ride. First of all there’s really no guarantee more people will come. Majority of the tickets have been sold anyway. Secondly and most importantly 5 million can never be described as a low ball offer when you fought for a world title for a reported 500kComment

Participating in any venture with someone where you do the same work but get paid 5% of what that person is making would be ill-advised, regardless of whether it's 10 times what you've previously made. You would be selling yourself short, a sucker, enriching someone else at your own expense. This is the very definition of being a work boy. If there's $42 million in the pot, you should get a fair percentage. At least 25%, or $10.5 million...
Great advice.
Wilder didn't give Ortiz anywhere near 25% when he fought him. I didn't see any comments from you PBC/LDBC goons complaining about that doe.Comment

Ok, so you won't take the trainers word. You won't believe Hearn. You won't believe Ortiz's manager when he said that Ortiz would have had $5m in his bank account after the promoters cut.
How much was offered then? Clearly you must know something the rest of us don't to be so certain.Comment

It's boxing 'fans' who use percentage for whatever reason so it should be calculated between fighters same way as the only way in this business: out of the whole pot. It's managers, trainers and other birds who get a percentage of a fighter's purse.Comment

He got caught lying about offer he sent to Wilder(12mil flat fee)He also got caught lying that Ortiz's people did not want fight because they did not have enough time because they have came out and said it was a lowball offer now whether that's true, don't know because have not seen contract and neither have you.And im not gonna sit hear and go thru the all lies him and ALL promoters constantly make and if your so new to sport to figure that out, well you need to do your homework.good bye and quit bothering me if you want to be a fanboy of "fast Eddie" then go right ahead.Comment

Can you not read? His trainer says he never seen contract and where in story does it say Ortiz would have had 5 mil in bank after promoters cut??So if he never seen contract which is CLEAR in story how the he ll would he know what Ortiz would have got.Keep just twisting words or just downright adding your own.Good bye your now boring me.
Ortiz's manager was on ThaBoxingVoice just under a week where he revealed the truth.
There is literally no disagreement between anything said by Hearn, Ortiz's manager or Ortiz's trainer. The only person who said anything different was Ortiz's promoter, who has said nothing since the blame was pinned on him.Comment
