Jacobs was on.....well, you all know what street he was on. The ref saved him from further punishment.

Pirog's size and reach was causing Jacobs all kinds of problems. Jacobs wasn't too far behind but he was losing the fight.

The stoppage was bad. I would've liked to see if he could've adjusted if he was allowed to continue.

Either way, it seemed to be a learning experience for Jacobs. His chin isn't solid though.

I thought it was ridiculous the way referee Byrd held Jacobs down the way he did. Struggling, so then he straddles over him pushed him with both hands him back to the canvas. There was no reason not to start a 10 count

As far as Pirog- he looked like such a great talent, it's too bad we didn't get to see more.

          Damn
Robbie Byrd straight up tried to play The Miracle Man ??? I'm thinking it wasn't Byrd, but a troll.

That 1st paragraph has issues -
            DJ was ahead
Hence, DJ wasn't that troubled by Pirog's advantages.

I'm glad that loss didn't ruin him mentally.

danny needs to do his excuses with his fists, right now all he is a third time lucky vacant titlist winner with zero defences, ostensibly with a few world class wins and a rightful former place as top contender too.

He should let Pirog fight lie and move on. He was ahead on the cards due to winning the first few rounds, but even that part was questionable. He has limited chance going forward as he was getting embarrassed. If he got up from the KD, which was nowhere near certainty, he would have gotten KTFO for good 10 seconds later.

I just rewatched that fight last night. Jacobs landed a few good shots, enough to keep Pirog honest, but there was no way he was going to win. Pirog's movement and pressure were just too much.

I hope Jacobs has evolved ENORMOUSLY since then, if he wants to have any chance. Canelo's style is all wrong for him. Especially if Canelo has been able to keep his stamina hopped up with some PEDs.
