I understand both sides here, on one hand you have GGG, who doesn't have much left and is already thinking about life after boxing, he's probably gonna hire his brother as his trainer and keep the money in the family. He believes he's technically good enough he doesn't need an expensive experienced trainer and that's ok.

On the other hand you have Abel, who took GGG in when nobody knew him, gave him all his time, not only trained but also promoted the hell out of GGG and he definitely was one of the biggest factors why GGG's name grew the way it did, he was the one doing all the talking and bringing all the attention even way more than the actual promoter Tom Loeffler, who was also getting his promoter's cut and will keep getting it. Of course he's entitled to feel ****ty about the whole situation since now GGG should be making more money than before and the investment Abel made was starting to become worth it.

Bad situation and both sides didn't handle it so well, GGG should've never tried to lowball Abel after everything he's done for him and should've been more straight up on why he wants to leave, and Abel should've never called GGG any names or said anything negative about GGG because that's not good for his reputation as a pro trainer.

Both have right in their own ways but the public should know that the punches and the wear and tear are taken and accumulated by the fighter. The fighter is risking his health&life in this business. Also through a great fighter like GGG, Sanchez became more known and also his stocks have grown. Another important aspect is that the 'mexican style' would do more damage to him at 37. So he may reorientate to box more. His jab and his footwork are top notch.

Funny how he's mentioning "blessed, and speaking humbly.. When he had GGG, he was the most arrogant, disrespectful POS you could ever meet, and enjoyed talking down to people and was on a major power trip. You reap what you sow in this life and "what comes around goes around" isn't just a funny little song title.. Lesson to be learned Abel, treat everyone with respect, God loves humility...

There is going to be at least a month worth of infamatory threads, name calling, blocking , and character assassination generated by this interview.
