WBSS could've been a good thing for boxing. Unfortunately, it's run by incompetent promoters looking to make a quick buck. Prograis is a big puncher who never ducks anybody, it shouldn't be difficult to market him. Yet, once again, ticket sales were dismal and Google's Realtime Search Trends showed there wasn't much interest in his fight compared to everyting else happening on Saturday. More people were talking about how horrible Easter-Barthelemy was than Prograis' impressive performance. This is indeed the problem. Boxing needs the big fights to happen to keep attracting new fans and keep old ones. Eg we can't have Crawford vs Spence/Garcia/Porter/Thurman because of the PBC/TR thing, Mikey v Loma not happening, Wilder/Fury/Joshua should be going at it at least once per year, Gary Russell fading into obscurity, Tank being protected, Yafai too.
Some notable exceptions from the WBSS that is allowing some good fights to happen, but the promoters are killing off the golden goose by suffocating so many fights that could get people talking about boxing again.
Remember the good old days when Leonard fought Hearns twice, Hagler, Duran three times. Compare to how many fights Spence (or Crawford) have had against the top guns of today so far.Comment

tbh what I really like is when you go in a movie theatre and spread free hot unlimited butter on the popcorn with a nice coke in the other hand. I love those moments.Comment

Nice . You ever see The Shinning in a movie theatre ?
Way different experience than VHS or Blue Ray .Comment

Awful card and a horrible main event. I just hope a bunch of potential boxing fans weren't tuned in, because they may never watch boxing again if this was their first rodeo.Comment
