This is how I see it. PBC makes a lot of excuses to not make Crawford vs Spence because they are not confident that Spence could beat Crawford. Probably waiting to age Crawford out, considering he's older.
Arum has absolute confidence in Crawford's abilities, PBC doesn't in Spence.

Naah he knows Crawford beats Spence, Joshua beats Wilder and Ortiz, Loma beats Garcia tank and who ever and he knows the Charlo's are average fighters. He also doesnt have any faith in any of his stable being able to compete financially with DAZN or Toprank fighters so even if he did have any faith in them winning those fights he needs these fights to be on Showtime so he can keep collecting the cheques from Espinoza but the old argument is "WE WILL PAY THE FIGHTERS THIS MUCH, HOW MUCH ARE YOU PREPARED TO PAY THEM?" and the PBC answer is "NOT ENOUGH".
So just lock them away and carefully and safely pick some gimmies for his main stars and get you all to pay up to $80 to watch a fight that you already know the result of.Comment

Good! Arum should’ve thought about that before killing the Fury Wilder rematch. You all thought it was funny when Arum did that. Now tell him to have fun losing money on Crawford. No way should Haymon work with that criminalComment

Huh? Arum didn't mention making the fight until he got booed after the Crawford/Kahn debacle. he did that just to save face because he also knew the fight didn't generate the requisite number of PPV sales. As such he lost big.
Before all this Bob said he wouldn't make the fight unless it was a "big PPV". Doesn't sound like someone willing to make a fight.Comment

Ok. During fight week-doesn't that suggest he is saying it only to drum up interest in the Khan/Crawford fight?
It just seems that Arum spoke up during fight week and after the fight flopped (or got booed) but when he didn't have a fight signed, he said something completely different.
He has done this same thing many times before without getting fights made.Comment

Arum is too smart to have absolute confidence in Bud or anyone else. Thats a naive way of thinking about this fight. Its business sh^t, like so many other fights are these days & in the recent past.
If people are making the right business decision is the real thing in play not if either end of a fight has confidence about winning. All these mfers we talk about daily got a level of confidence & in some cases even a delusional belief in themselves (see Amir Khan) that they aren't worried about fighting anyone in the way most mfers would be about merely fighting their next door neighbor or a random mfer on the street. You don't get to where these mfers have already gotten not having a high f#cking level of confidence & trust in themselves & their abilities.
These types of threads are getting so tired & old with mfers on some outdated sh^t. I get it doe, its more fun to act like this is emotion sh^t or confidence sh^t, but its a make max money & business thing as unexciting & un-fun as that is to talk about.Comment
