Fury is a great boxer, he needs to be challenged to get the best out of him.
I think TopRank are going about his matching really wrong.
At least match Fury with a top 10 contender.
It's his first Top Rank fight in the US maybe their trying to get a hightlight reel K/O or something cause I can't see any other reason why he would be fighting this guy.
It’s because Schwartz is like #2 or #3 ranked with the WBO (somehow)

    No other reason.

If Fury took this fight after Pianetta fine, but to take it after Wilder is a major step backwards and a slap in the face to any actual boxing fan when they say it’s a competitive fight. If Fury loses, he needs to retire ASAP.

And you know I’m a Fury fan. I’m not hating in the guy.
I feel like Fury is getting his fair share of sh^t for this fight. Isn't he? I mean no one is hyping it I know that. I just took my first look at Schwarz's boxrec trying to search for something to be excited for ffs.

Granted he does have Arum selling it for him this time which is lessening the blow, but thats not helping him THAT much.

I saw the poster for it on IG yesterday and it looks like battle of the dad bod. I haven’t checked the card, is the undercard decent at least?

I was looking at the Canelo/Jacobs undercard this morning and it’s beyond pitiful, so I’ll be jumping between cards this weekend

Oh OK I get it now.
Bob is trying to get Fury to be mandatory for the WBO because he seems to have alot of influence within this group.
Yer right. Makes sense to me now.

I couldn't imagine that's the route. There's simply no way Fury would take the 80/20 split a mandatory would get, especially as he could basically call up AJ any day of the week and make a 60/40 fight pretty much instantly.

no, this rather tastes like a pure marketing ploy they can fall back on if they need to.

"wait wait. he's not a bum, he's #3 with the WBO".

We've heard it before. I won't be staying up to watch Fury play around with some german bum.

Yer I can see it going the same way as his first two comeback fights.
I see him winning this easily with Fury clowning around abit for a cpl of rounds before tkoing him once he gets serious.
Will I watch? Maybe if its in front of me but I'm not going out of my way to see this.
I will just watch it on YouTube 30 mins later.

Its only got 2 other fights on it so far & its two white HW's that TR just picked up (one is some Italian guy like from Italy Italian not Rocky Italian) so its looking like some white HW show strangely enough thus far. But its got nothing beyond Fury & 4 rounders on it so far so who knows.

Yea agree. I'm a Ortiz fan so I'll enjoy seeing him, but not expecting much from Herrera besides getting a few rounds outta Ortiz maaaaaayybe. Besides that nothing I'm looking forward to much at all on the undercard. Hopefully someone will surprise me.

Wilder must have severely damaged his confidence (and his head) for him to fight such a pathetic opponent.

Let’s not be under any illusion, if Joshua fought this guy he would getting shredded by every observer and his haters would be going ballistic. But not the gypsy king, nah he’s playing the game and considered savvy for ducking anyone credible.

It makes no sense at all, he could be ranked anywhere on the WBO and AJ could still leave him waiting for 3-5 years and yet without any ranking at all Hearn would want to make that fight in the next 2 years anyway. It’s a straight up old fashioned stay busy fight, nothing more.
