I said the Rolls fight is similar mismatch wise and hype wise to the Wade fight, when Wade was GGG's mandatory. I pointed out Wade being GGG's mandatory because even though that was a sh.it fight it was at least his mandatory so he had to do it.

I swear some people are just so eager to turn anything on here into an argument, can't even have a real discussion with most posters here.

Do you know that Millers biggest purse was 527k vs Adamek and that was won on a purse bid. So there is no way in the world you can justify giving one guy who earned 527k 6.5 million in Miller but turn around a say Ortiz doesn't deserve it. Three, are you aware of the NY taxes? They are insane. Ortiz asked for 10 million. But when everything cleared out, he was probably going to take home around 5 million. Miller was getting 6.5. After everything cleared out he wss probaly going to walk with

Every show has a total budget, and generally most of that budget is used to pay for everything inc fighters purses etc. So when miller agreed to that deal, it must have been a negotiation and not a straight 6.5mil hearn offer and miller agreed. My point being dazn and hearn wouldnt just pull a extra 3mill out there bank to pay for a cuban who cant even speak english, as far as i know doesnt reside in n.y and would possibly bring less draw in other then the hardcore boxing fans. Ortiz wasnt going to sell any extra tickets or bring in casuals where as miller would have just by running his mouth which is what he was good at. This is a business, everybodys in it to make money, not to accept ridiculous monetary demands just because you see a oppertunity. 7mil is life changing... good luck to ortiz for making anywhere near that between now and when he hangs his gloves up. Greed got the better of him and his team
First, you can't say for sure that Ortiz wasn't going to sell any extra tickets. That's pure assumption. Second, i stand by my post. You can't justify giving Miller, who is virtually unknown, hasn't fought anyone of note, whos highest purse was 527k, 6.5 million bucks. You just can't unless you just feel like it. Three, again, the Taxes in NY are ridiculous. That's why Ortiz's people asked for 10 million. Four, 7 million is life changing, but again, after taxes, Ortiz probably walks away with 3 million. Even Cotto, who has a huge Puerto Rican following in NY, only fought there on occasions. The taxes man.

Ruiz isn't ready ya moron. He needs a heck of a lot more fights before he's any where ready for a top 3 heavy. This shows they realize he won't get this chance ever again because he probably wouldn't normally make it that far, thus, take the big pay day while it's there, call it a day, early retirement perhaps (doubt it'll be enough though).
