For any other fighter who had back to back tough fights & came away with a draw and a loss, a tune-up match is ok. But let Golovkin do it, and the critics come out of the woodwork like roaches when the lights get turned off.

Rolls is a perfect opponent for GEE to get his mojo/groove back... Those "Canelo" fights took thier toll on Golo for sure in every way including emotional. (Fired Fable).
A Dom Wade type stoppage Vs. Rolls reminds the casuals that GEE can smash overmatched opponents even at a higher weight class.

Maybe GGG does got a career in promotion post-boxing career cuz he's full of sh^t with "because DAZN is trying to establish themselves in Canada and Steve’s from Canada, I figured that this would be a good starting point for us.”

I heard his comments in the original Russian. The translator didn't do a great job, what GGG actually said was: "Truthfully, I'd never heard of Steve Rolls, but DAZN is going to pay me nine figures contingent on me not losing before I get to face Canelo. You want my reason for not fighting Andrade in June? I've got 100 million reasons!"
Seriously though, if Loeffler let GGG fight Andrade now he's not doing his job. Who in their right mind would fight Andrade with the Canelo payday on the line? Andrade before Canelo is the ultimate example of super high risk and low reward.
