Yeah I think it will be competitive! Loma couldn't get the stoppage! They're both 5'5" southpaws from the DMV! Tank has the advantage in size and power, GRJ has the advantage in hand speed and experience! It's definitely better than Tank vs. Gamboa! Make it happen! I would rather Tank vs. Farmer, but we don't know what Farmer is going to do! If he re-signs w/ DAZN to fight Ryan Garcia, the Tank fight is dead!

Is the Gamboa fight a done deal? I thought they put it out there and didn't get a good reaction from the fans. They may be looking at other opponents.

I don't know about the speed and experience advantage. Davis is a pretty experienced guy himself (a young vet) and isn't slow. I see Russell as a small depleted guy from all the inactivity. People would say he fought another small guy.

I'd rather Gervonta fight strong fighters at 135, starting with Fortuna. If Russell really wants all that work, it's easy enough to make. I would tell him to stay in his lane firmly and fight Santa Cruz.

ALL avoided Russell Jr: Leo, Frampton, Lee Selby...

Exactly how they all avoided Rigondeaux at 122

Tank will be criticized no matter who he chooses! GRJ is the same exact height as Tank! He's moving up one division! If Tank moved up and fought Loma @ 135, do you think anybody would have a problem with that? Would you hear anyone saying "Oh, Loma is 2in. taller and was already at 135!" NO! You're never going to satisfy everybody! Fortuna would be a nice fight, but it's not as sexy as a fight with GRJ or LSC! PBC IS VERY THIN @ 135! I would like to see GRJ, LSC, and Tevin Farmer before he moves to 135, IF HE CAN STAY @ 130!

The main problem I think people fail to understand with Haymon is his job is basically the complete opposite of a promoters job.

Haymon's job is to find the best deal for his fighter thats closest to or exceeding their worth if possible. Arum's job is to put on fights where he can get the best ROI on what he's paying the fighters & for expenses vs what he can get back.

Thats why these mfers don't do business easily with each other. Cuz Haymon is the best at getting his fighters their value or beyond their value & Arum is the best at getting a sexy ROI on the fights he puts together.

They haters don't understand b/c they don't wish to understand, or it doesn't fit the narrative! It's just like how Miller failed a drug test, and it became Haymon's fault if Eddie Hearn's show is a flop in NYC! First it was, "Haymon is blocking Ortiz," then it comes out that it was Ortiz's manager who dropped the ball! Then it's "Haymon told his manger not to fight him!" Now that Andy Ruiz is negotiating, who is also a PBC fighter, they'll come up with some other excuse! If Haymon was a monster, like he's portrayed by the haters, would he allow Jacobs, Miller, Farmer, Hunter, and Vargas, simply up and leave and sign to MatchRoom? Would Don King have allowed that? How about Bob Arum?
