To some extent, Spence does have more options given the stack of potential WW opponents under PBC. But that doesn't mean one of those opponents can't backfire on him. Danny Garcia, Porter, Thurman, can all sneak by him and squeak out a win. If that happens, the Spence train gets derailed and his stock will plummet.

Bottom line, Spence is ducking Crawford, period.

Either your about business or about the best fighting the best? Can't have it both ways.

I want to see the top figters fight each other in their prime, but Bob Arum caused this. Oscar left, to be his own man. Floyd left to be his own man and get the money and fights he wanted. Cotto left on good terms, but still to be his own man and get the fights he wanted. Mickey left, to be his own man. Notice the pattern here. Bob is the common denominator when it comes to fights not getting made.

Spence is just saying out loud what everyone that follows boxing already knows. Crawford is a fantastic fighter but he either didn't think the offer he chose through, didn't know the history of Haymen and Arum, or just didn't care and took the paydays over legacy. He wont see a PBC fighter for the next 2 years short of some insane offer that Bob will never go for.

If Spence loses to Crawford it's over. Al's grip on the WW division is lost and without another hedge fund to bail him out the PBC is likely done.

Spence is planning on doing what AJ has done in the HW division, go after the belts. So as long as he fights Porter and Thurman or Pac he's good. But Spence better not start taking mandatory fights over title fights. He better make good on his word. I still believe Spence beats Crawford. Crawford has two flaws in his game he tends to swing wild in exchanges and he stands straight up with his hands out when he back peddles same thing that Wilder does. And for Spence I don't know how well he can deal with a slick fighter with movement. Which is why this match-up is a good one. The thing that sucks for Crawford is that he doesn't have any good options whereas Spence has more.

We're all forgetting one thing though MONEY TALKS! I believe if Bob Arum made Spence a offer he couldn't refuse we'll get the Spence-Crawford fight. That's Crawford's best bet. Bob should make Spence a solid offer so we can get this debate over with already lol

Some people love promoters and business more than the best vs best. At least your honest about it.

There's a place for that conversation next to the article about McDonald's closing stores and Star Bucks stock option.

Spence has way more options than Bud no comparison. Spence not ducking Bud. If he beats Porter then Thurman Manny winner and maybe if Garcia has any hardware he has all belts except buds, if he cleaned up Haymons stable if he then won’t fight Bud then it’s ducking

Spence is nothing like AJ, AJ fights everyone and offers 100 million to step in with him.

Spence's biggest pay was an offer made to him by a light weight. No hate just a fact.

Crawford is too dangerous at 147, pure and simple.

Another unfortunate byproduct of living in an era where one loss will result in your social media followership disappearing and you're fighting for journeyman money again. I don't mind if this fight marinates one more year, I think that's where it will peak in terms of fan interest and PPV earnings. Beyond that it starts to move past it's sell-by date.
