Meanwhile, back at PBC their WWs are averaging $2M per fight or less and none of them are PPV attractions either. Spence will have to fight tougher opponents to earn $3M+ paydays going forward, while Crawford is earning that for fighting guys like Horn, Khan, etc.

The fight will likely take place in second half of 2020 so long as they each remain undefeated.

Some fans live in fantasy land and like to believe the belts don't matter, but look at the purse bids for the titles and you'll quickly see which ones are worth more than others. There's no doubt the industry places a premium on a WBC belt vs a WBO belt. TV networks, fighters, managers, promoters, etc all consider the WBC the most valuable and the WBO the least valuable. It's one of the reasons Arum and Warren were able to get a total monopoly on the WBO. Nobody else wanted it before.

I totally get the origins of the WBO and why they've been the red headed step child, but that simply isn't the case today.
