It's hilarious how Crawford keeps calling out Spence yet he re-signed with Top Rank

So who’s the rightful world champ of the WBA right now? Pacquaio or Thurman?
pacquiao is the wba world champion. thurman is the wba super champion.

This will go down as one of the biggest ducks of all time.

      He's ducking the entire division.

it really shouldn't matter who anybody is signed to. The best should always fight the best but we all know boxing doesn't work that way. It's the only sport where u don't have to be in the playoffs (top 10) to fight a champ.

It's not so hilarious when Crawford was earning $3M per fight when he signed with Arum and was paid $3.6M+ to fight Benavidez after re-signing with TR. Meanwhile, back at PBC their WWs are averaging $2M per fight or less and none of them are PPV attractions either. Spence will have to fight tougher opponents to earn $3M+ paydays going forward, while Crawford is earning that for fighting guys like Horn, Khan, etc.

The fight will likely take place in second half of 2020 so long as they each remain undefeated.

Exactly, when Arum had both Crawford and Pac in the same stable he wouldn't make the fight yet expects PBC to deal with him 50/50

These fighters are under contract, contracts are legally binding documents, you think they can just break it cause you want to see a fight?

lol...another clown who tries to refute the existence of pbc sidechecks...which have been confirmed by pbc fighters including Thurman

trust this...spence and Thurman(at least before his injury and absence) are making, at least in the ballpark, of the same money that Crawford is.....if they are making a little less its because al has more mouths to feed

There's no doubt the industry places a premium on a WBC belt vs a WBO belt. TV networks, fighters, managers, promoters, etc all consider the WBC the most valuable and the WBO the least valuable. It's one of the reasons Arum and Warren were able to get a total monopoly on the WBO. Nobody else wanted it before.
So Shawn Porter's earning more than Terrance Crawford?
Wilder more than Joshua or Klitschko before him?

I totally get the origins of the WBO and why they've been the red headed step child, but that simply isn't the case today.
Pacquiao, de la Hoya, Hamed among others made legitimized it because they drew money and were among the best guys around. Hamed went as far as winning other belts and giving them back.

no, porter's belt adds more value to his promotion than crawford's belt adds to his.

So what are the roles of the world and super champs then? Who fights mandatories? Interims? Can either or both unify with other belts?
